I am going to say that if you were to find a Velocity - Lawson customer this week - very few - If ANY - would recommend it.

I worked with Velocity years ago, before we brought lawson back in house and switched to SQL, Windows. It was challenging. We had minimal control on patch schedules/downtime, and inadvertent "hiccups" with the system, or performance bottlenecks. Mostly, working thru a ticket system to get someone on the tech team engaged was not the most efficient process. Upgrade projects were cumbersome by virtue of terminology: Their PM / Our PM, etc. We had minimal cmd line access, so being the Admin, it was challenging. Again, this was a long time ago - I cannot speak to recent enhancement with their technical model.
