File move/copy from within IPA (Processflow)

Lawson environment 10 LSF on one windows 2012 VM and Landmark on another windows 2012 VM. IPA (Processflow) running on the Landmark VM. Using designer 10.1.1.48 and using the SysCommand node to run a COPY or MOVE command. The flow works fine if the source and destination for the file location is either the C or D drives of the LSF server (D is where LSF is installed). But if we want IPA to move the file to a network location it fails, even if we map a network drive on the server (K). Can copy/move the files fine if Remote Desktop'd into the server and using Windows Explorer to see/move them. Infor is telling us in a support case that IPA can not be used to copy/move files outside of the LSF and Landmark environments. Even tried defining the full path \\\\server\\drive\\directory\\subdirectory\\filename but that didn't work either. Have others encountered this limitation? If so was your solution to have IPA FTP the file or you used some other service/software to move the file from Lawson to the destination?

It can be done but requires jumping through a bunch of hoops, so +1 for FTP as the easiest to implement solution. Depending on your requirements, I also HIGHLY recommend Syncovery for inexpensive FTP'ing and Windows file copying between servers. Has tons of features (scheduling, file watching, etc.) and the price is reasonable. Thanks for using the LawsonGuru.com forums! John

I use SysCommand nodes to copy files from an LSF server directory to a Network location using a processflow that is run from IPA on the Landmark server. The Network location is a share though.

I did it this way and work fine. IPD version 11.0.1.21.1.5 On system command node choose Configuration mode : run cmd.exe (Windows only) In command box enter the full path name for source ( copy \\your server DSN\E$\lawson\law\test\work\File folder\FILE Name ) And full path name for target network folder (\\Network Folder \shared\fingrp\payroll\TRP\FileName_>) seprated by & or && if copying more than One file . Command: copy \\LawsonServer DSN\E$\lawson\law\test\work\TRPMNT\TRPMNT \\NETWORK FOLDER DSN\shared\fingrp\payroll\TRP\TRPMNT_> & copy \\LAWSON SERVER DSN\E$\lawson\law\test\work\OMNIPLUS\OMNIPLUS \\NETWORK FOLDERDSN\shared\fingrp\payroll\TRP\OMNIPLUS_>

I see how to do this on Windows, but how would you do this on AIX?
