Lawson provides a method of replacing the Lawson Logo on the Portal Home page. We would also like to replace the center frame where 'Portal Common Tasks' and 'Useful Information' is displayed with a company logo. This would probably be a .jpeg file. I need to load bookmarks on several systems and want to make sure they are entered in the same order and with exactly the same values.  Can I create a customized file like $LAWDIR/logan/work/LAWSONLD/LAWSONLD.content.csv  I would put in the field LawsonName and AddAsChildTo a very unique name that Lawson would not use.  Then run LO920 to load the bookmarks. Has anyone tried this  Thanks,

My employer (hospital) uses Lawson SSL VPN.   I had no trouble connecting at home from my old Windows 7 laptop and my new Windows 8.1 desktop with my old Linksys WRT-120N router.   I just bought a new router Linksys E2500 and now I can't connect to Lawson anymore. We are in the process of getting our system ready for Infor 10. We are currently on lawson 9. For infor 10 is there anything wrong with strictly going in through the portal Thats how our company is used to things currently with Lawson 9. Applied all patches and lawson runs fine through LID... But in portal it acts funny. When you do anything on a screen - the screen icons and names change, we also sec security violations (which is strange as we have security turned off in LAUA and LS).....we are still on LAUA. I have a custom application that is taking some time to load, so I'm using the showWaitAlert() function to display a message asking the users to wait until the page finishes loading. However, in IE 89, the animation provided by the showWaitAlert() function is frozen until the page finishes loading. If I do not call removeWaitAlert() to hide the message when the page finishes loading, the animation starts moving as soon as the page loads, so it's not completely failing, just useless for its ...

We need to grab the 'ID' session variable (profile attribute) from some non Lawson code to determine the users AD account since they are not logged onto Windows with this account. I have a user who was given a query to pull data from October 2012.  The person who wrote the query has used it and gotten the proper output.  My user was given it and her data only covers from Oct 1 - 5 and then cuts off.  I got the same file from her and it gave me a full month.  When we change the criteria for another month it gives her all of September 2012 but nothing for November 2012.  When I and the person who gave her the file try, we get these other months in f...

Hi folks, I was wondering if someone could help me.  Under windows, we are trying to create a batch job that will use wtsubmit to execute a job.   When it completes wtsubmit has a result code.  We know what the codes mean. Currently i've had a lot of my employees come to me with the problem that they are able to log into the portal but the ESS dropdown is not showing.  I've verified that all of the users have the ESS role in Lawson Security and have also tried using an SQL query to reset their ESS with no luck.  Anyone experience this problem and have any success troubleshooting it Thanks,

Hello, I am experiencing some intermittent Logon issues in our Production and Test environments.   When you logon it will spin and then blank out the username and password fields after about 30 seconds.  This goes on for about 10-15 minutes then clears up for a period of time and comes back.  This happens in both our Test and Production environments.  We have bounced both application servers and DB server with no luck.  The only think that has changed in the past 2 week...

I am in charge of overseeing the security of our new (aka migration) to the new Lawson environment. The new design apparently introduced a SharePoint server with ming.le. Can anyone provide me with a brief high level overview What confuses me is our Lawson admin has made references saying the SharePoint\ming.le server really does not need to be 100 working for us to 'go live' with the new environment.   Thank you, Zach

I recently started a new job and was given the website to log on to my job's employee portal. I solved the IE compatibility issue but now I have a new issue. I am unable to load some pages. When I click on W2 or Paystub I get a server not found page. The url for those pages are different than the portal's url. The url format is http://xxx.xxxx.local:8001.  Hi, we have a new user that's setup with the same access as other users. She is trying to submit a job but for some reason that job never gets submitted and there is no error message provided. When accessing the job she created, she is not able to click on any of the buttons including submit, reports, job sched, print Mgr. I sent the log to Lawson and there is not errors in the log.
