We are new to LBP and we are testing getting the budget to recalculate for workforce budgets. We are getting the following error Job { id=940396, description=Recalculating workforce budget [0496-1] of dataset [test09budget] department [Hamilton/PL/Oth Overhead]. } has failed but is still runnable; it will be retried.   Does anyone know what can be done about this error

We are currently using lawson's financial applications (Version 9) and are currently loading budget using excel and interface to GL budget tables. The management is looking at buying a budgeting and planning application/module. We are debating whether to use Lawson's LBP module or buy a third party tool/application I understand their are pros-n-cons with either approach and the big one being Lawson's tight integration if the financials and budgeting software to come from the same provider. We are in Lawson envirnment 9.0, App 9.0 oracle 10g. A user deleted the current budget. Is there a way to recover just that one budget If not possible what kind of procedures should be in place to recovery from this.

When the users log into LBP, they get the error: Invalid Request! Error Number: 1234 Error Level: 1 Details: I do not know that this came from a trustable source. Does anyone know what this message means and how to correct the problem The users are set up in Lawson Security.

Hi, I have managed to install LBP, get the login screen, but after this I am stuck. I have the install guide in front of me and it is asking for the login info for EFS. It says to use the password usef for Framework Services, but I have Framework Services tied into LDAP. Can I change this section in the filter file with LDAP attributes and redeploy or do I need to do something different I have also tried multiple user accounts and passwords and no luck with that. I'm looking for any recomended reading on how to best handle capital requests in Lawson. We currently have a seperate database app that tracks requests made against the capital budget, Lawson PO's are then generated against the request. We are going to shortly begin implementing Activities but I will be working on this process first and would like to make sure it will intigrate into activities. My client is implementing LBP.  I am hoping to contact another Crystal developer who has prepared reports from LBP data.  My client is using Attributes for Budget Groups. I am very experienced with Crystal and have used attributes in financial reports but the LBP database is new to me.  it will probably be next week before I have access to the files or views. Hello, We have a new install of LBP and when a user logs in, they get the 'Backup Notification' pop-up from LBP. While they can simply click OK to be reminded in a day, or upon their next successful login attempt, we are looking to hide this message completely. We have 8 cores and 48 gigs of RAM and when we have 1 user testing LBP by pulling a plan, the server spikes to 99 CPU and takes 30 mins to open the plan. Anybody have similar issues Thanks,Steve

I am new to LBP and just getting my feet wet. We would like for the PTO dollars to be calculated based on a provided by users, then that PTO dollar amount be pulled out of the salaries total. If salaries and wages were $100,000 with 10 PTO, the result would be salaries and wages = $90,000 and PTO = $10,000. When we try to set this up we get a circular reference error. Can we create sub-accounts that can hold the original salaries and wages total, then calculate PTO based on this and ret...

Hello! Has anyone encountered any issues copying actuals into budget. We are trying to migrate actuals to budget using bulk copy (FB120). Base currency version goes in just fine, but when we want to copy actuals into the reporting currency version it still brings amounts in base but uses US1 as the currency (doesn't do translation).
