Hi,
We are currently in the process of implementing LBP 9.01.1
Does anybody what initial set ups need to be done? Are there any ODBC or OLEDB connections need be set up in LBP. How will we bring the PY Actuals to LBP?
Thanks
Elizabeth

Elizabeth, we are on the older version of LBP 9.0.0.xxx and I cannot answer the connectivity issu but there is a DES task that alloes you to "bring over" Prior year actuals. In the older 9.0 version it could be added using a year default. It also depends how far back you set up your system (home many years backward and forward)..not sure how many are allowable any more.
Hope this helps

Thank you Chris.
What is DES task? Is that a workflow? I'm totally new to this and I'm trying to get an idea of what are the set ups that need to be done for LBP.

Elizabeth;
When you install LBP you load communication paths into the lbp.filters.properties file. This information tells the application how to communicate with S3. Data is pulled from S3 using erp/servlet (ODBC) and data is passed to S3 using JDBC. Once installed a defined user (in the config file) will make meta data and data calls to S3 to pull into LBP the information.
Loading prior year Actuals into LBP is a simple point and click procedure. An administrator passes one or more company parameters and one or more year parameters into a workflow and submits. The defined user passes the workflow & parms to the back office and pulls the data.
Please feel free to contact me I would be glad to help you.
