Started By  Diana
After the upgrade, we are having issues with common department names in different process levels. Before the upgrade, the home process level was the default. Now the process level is required. How do you deal with departmens transfers within a process level

Supervisor structure

Started By  Colleen Bertagnolli
Seems like we review this every few years.. Is it better to set up a supervisor code that reflects a position (i.e. Manager of Billing) and then tie the appropriate employee to that supervisor code (and any subsequent employees who may hold that position in the future) or assign a new supervisor code every time there is a change in supervisors Pros Cons of each

BN299 count vs BN297 diff resource records

Started By  Margie Gyurisin
We found our BN299 number differs from the BN297 when run for option 5 - all.  The difference appears to be those we added as a resource.  Does anyone know if that is correct

I keep getting an IRS rejected error of MANIFEST-025, that is 'Manifest 'ChecksumAugmentationNum' must match the IRS-calculated 'ChecksumAugmentationNum' value of the transmission', even though I have already replaced a new set of checksum numbers on the manifest file. Any help would be appreciated

PRREGPARM table - FLD NBR 5095 record

Started By  Margie Gyurisin
I am hoping someone can tell me the source of this record.  Ever since we upgraded to Lawson 10, another record for each tax authority is being added to the PRREGPARM table.  It has field number 5095 on it but I can not find that filed number in PADICT and also not in PADICT2.  I don't see it from the PR06 forms or the ones associated with PR06 unless I am missing something.   The reason it is important is because we store our PA PSD codes on the PR69 that is accessed from the PR06.  Our loc...

Database Tables Pertaining to ACA

Started By  Jennifer Burke
Does anyone have a listing of database tables that are impacted by any of the Affordable Care Act screens We are finding that we do not have access to certain tables and rather than keep going back to IT and requesting new tables as I discover them, I'd love to have a list to compare to our list of available tables so I can go to IT with one list. I checked with Infor.  They do not have a list they can provide and it will take forever to go through all of the KB articles they have listed.   ...

401k Company Match issue

Started By  LoriN
We use one plan for our 401k for both Roth and non-Roth.  We have a 100 match up to 3 using a Match Limit Schedule.  You may or may not have this same setup since there are several ways to configure the match.  When we were on 9.0.1, we were not experiencing any issues.  Since going live on 10.0.6 apps, we are having issues with the Company Match PR14 records.  When we ran the BN105 for the new 2017 records, the PR14 descending balance for the new deduction copied from the prior ...

Hello Lawson Gurus! I'm so happy I found this website. I'm hoping someone can shed some light on how I should set this up in Lawson S3, version 10.   We have a healthcare company in Pennsylvania and I'm trying to find a way to add PSD codes in Lawson so that is easy to pull report for quarterly reporting of local taxes. Where would I set the PSD code in Lawson   Appreciate any feed back on this.   thank you

Clinical Ladder pay

Started By  Mary Porter
The organization wants to implement clinical ladder pay which will be 5 levels with a specific per level.  Once the employee achieves that level it will be good for a year.  We see two ways to go, one with PA20.4 and new job codes/position codes, the other is creating new grades on PA95 for the RN schedules and build the percentages into the Grades. There are pluses and minuses to both approaches, looking to see how others are handling this.

Does anyone know if it is possible to get Lawson Support to create a patch for a program - that isn't part of a huge 1k program CTP They are telling me there is no other option - I have to install a huge patch that basically updates every product line - just because I need one program fixed in Payroll.

LP pending transactions - what table holds the data?

Started By  Karen Ploof
After I run LP140 and before closing, a new drill around item appears for employees in Absence Plans > (plan code) > Temporary Dates and Balances.    Does anyone know what table those temporary dates and balances are stored in  I'd like to write a query to identify people who are newly eligible during that current LP cycle. Since the cycle isn't closed yet, the TAEEMASTER record has not been created yet.

Add new employee in 9.0.1 without BSI?

Started By  Russell Spreeman
Our organization was acquired by a much larger one and they moved our HR / Payroll / Benefits to their non-Lawson system. Since we were no longer using Lawson for payroll or benefits we discontinued our BSI support and, per the contract, had their application removed from our Lawson system. However - someone in our HR department uses Lawson to keep track of any sort of training or classes our employees take here on site. (The new org's system makes that extremely difficult, hence the desire to u...

Separate Deduction Classes for Employee 401K/403B Contributions and Employer Match

Started By  Jennifer Burke
Have any of you created a deduction class for your employee 403B/401K contributions separate from the deduction class used for the employer match   We are currently using the same deduction class for both.  However, it has never been an issue because we do not print the employer match on employee pay stubs.  We would now like to print the match on pay stubs, but with using the same deduction class, it combines everything into one deduction. I'm not sure if using separate deduction classes wi...
