Phone Number Storage Lawson 10

We know that Lawson10  stores personal email address in an actual email address field for this purpose. Does Lawson10 allow for multiple phone numbers or allow for us to designate if it is a cell or home number

Issue new Employee ID/ to existing employee

We recently changed our clockin phone number and an employee has the same number for her Employee ID (12700) which is causing problems with our time management system, Kronos. Does anyone know of a way, or if it is possible to change an employee's ID number and maintain their history in Lawson

Employee group Wisconsin for topic W6 on PR27

There is a new requirement for WISCONSIN W2's for 2015.  We need to report employees with zero WI withholding tax.  We have to map topic W6 in the PR27 to a created employee group.  The employee group needs to find employees with a WI Tax Withholding deduction code, and also a WI tax withholding of zero.  I can't seem to figure out how to set up this employee group.  I can't find where to have an employee group look at the employee deductions so I can link the WI deduction code.  I could run a q...

Non-Lawson Analytics Tool

Is anyone using  an analytics tool like Dashboard Gear for HR related analytics  If so which tool are you using and what type of reports do you have    Are you pulling data from just Lawson or from other sources as well Is the data going into a data warehouse and then into the tool or are you pulling directly from Lawson

ESS- Both tax flag for DC plans w Amt/

In our Benefit open enrollment screen the 'Both' tax flag option is not showing up for our DC plans which have  the Contribution types of Amt. or Percent and then either can have pre, or aft, or both for tax type.  Has anyone else ran into this situation or know how we can fix this.  Opened and incident ticket with Infor/Lawson and haven't received an answer back yet.

ACA - BN297 add dept number to CSV output

I was working on setting up my custom filters so we could sort 1095Cs by PL and Department number.  I don't see the department number in the csv output.  I was directed by support to open an enhancement.  I did that and would appreciate your vote.   Please vote for ER 32765 on the Infor Communities site.   Thanks.

401k & Catch up Limits

We are implementing a Roth option for our 401k.  The Roth will be available for our 401k and our Catch up plan.  We currently have two separate benefit plans set up on BN15 – one for 401k and one for Catch-up.  Since we have two separate plans, we were told that BSI cannot enforce the $18000 limit for 401k and the $6000 limit for Catch up.  It only cares that the employee is allowed to contribute a total of $24000.  Since BSI cannot track the individual limits for each plan, we have to manually ...

API/eTime and Attendance system

For some reason, once in while API goes into restricted mode, which cause timeouts when running API downloads. The server team reboot the server and the problem is resolved temporarily.  We opened a ticket with API support but haven't been able to pinpoint the problem. Has anyone here have similar issues with API going into restricted mode What could possibly be causing this     Any suggestions/feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Termed Empl showing in MSS

Has anyone had this issue  The manager has a number of termed employees still reporting to him, but now we have two (who have been termed since before we used the system) showing on his list of direct reports.    The manager has been a manager for a very long time and these two former employees have always showed as reporting to him.  So not sure what is going on     Any thoughts

Employee Groups Not Updating

We add new hires directly onto the HR11 and it normally populates their employee groups automatically.  Last week it quit working.  At that point we had 539 employee groups.  We were able to remove 4-5 of them, one of which included every employee ever loaded into Lawson.  We also made some adjustments and were able to reduce the number of employees in some other groups.  This allowed us to lower the overall number of records in PGEmployee from 2.3 million to 1.8 million. ACA dates for BN954

Hello, What dates are people using in this report  Are you using 1-1-2015 thru 12-31-2015 I believe the hours in the BN954 are pulling the TRDate from the PRTime on the pay codes in the ACA pay class.  Thank you!

ESS New Hire Enrollment

Hello, I was curioius if anyone could offer some insight as to your process for enrolling new hire benefits through ESS.  Currently when we have a new hire - by placing them into HR11 it kicks off a process flow that assigns the user a user ID and password.  It is causing some issues because the passwords are pretty crazy and I would really like for them to all default to just a simple word the same for everyone.  Is anyone else doing this, the generic password approach

BN729 ignoring $0.00 rates

Has anyone seen the BN729 ignore a rate of $0.00 when building the report We have many rates that are of no cost to employees, but the BN729 is picking up the lowest offer that is not equal to zero. In a test run we changed our rates to $.12 for those plans and ran BN729 again.... it picked up those new rates for the report. Is this a system or set up issue

ACA hours confirmation

Can anyone share what they are doing to confirm that the hours the BN954 is reporting are the correct hours Are you comparing the BN954 to anything and what would that be  I thought I could compare the BN954 to the PR261 in total (by using just the total hours that are in the ACA pay class); however that doesn't exactly work because we sometimes have an item paid in the PR261 that was for a prior pay period adjustment (with a date from the pay period being adjusted).  So I am close; but I have...

Move PL under another EIN

Currently we have several EIN's and process levels.  And I have set up many new PL's in the past several years in Lawson; but this is the first time I need to know if it is possible that we could just 'move' an existing PL from being under one head EIN to being under another existing head EIN.  If this is possible; the first of the year would have to be the time so that the moved PL is under only 1 EIN for the full tax reporting year.  One concern I have is that there is no date on this move in ...

Dependent History

We are looking for a report that will show historical transactions on dependents. Specifically, we are interested in seeing what was updated on a dependent by staff through the Self Serve application during a specific time period. If there isn't a report through the Lawson application does anyone have a Crystal Report or know of the tables that could be queried through a reporting application that could return dependent history   Thanks!

EMSS direct deposit bank accounts - no dashes, spaces

Our bank was just acquired by another bank.  Previously, bank accounts with spaces or dashes were accepted by our bank.  The new bank does not allow for that. How are you handling it

3rd party non-qualified payment

Hello, This seems complicated; and I am hoping I can find an answer. Does anyone currently have a 3rd party (like Fidelity) that issues 457b checks and also does the W2 and 941 reporting for its non-qualified employees  And if so how do you handle supplemental wages paid between Fidelity and Lawson looking for YTD supplemental wages in excess of 1 million  Because supplemental wages in excess of 1 million need to be taxed at 39; but if there's some 3rd party wages that are not stored in Law...
