Trying to Use PMTOUT File for Check & Direct Deposit Receipt Printing

Started By  bkauffman
We are in the process of migrating from TA to Absence Management. During this process we found that we need to use the PMTOUT file to generate checks intead of the process we are currently using under TA. This morning we found out the data file that we previously used to create direct deposit receipts does not have data in it either. It looks like we need to use the PMTOUT file for both check creation and direct deposit receipts. Is there a flag in the PMTOUT file that differentiates between an ...

Adding Employee via HR11 AGS Call

Started By  Carl Duffy II
We are using lawson-httpclient.jar in a Java project to login and then make AGS calls to Lawson.   Basic java code:   LawsonHttpClient lhc = new LawsonHttpClient();   lhc.login(sSSOURL, sUserName, sPwd);   ResponseObject response = null;   response = lhc.executePostMethod(sTransURL, pTransXML, 'text/xml');   return response.getResponseBodyAsString(); We have been successful with many different calls, but when we attempt to add an employee using a HR11 call we get the below return ...

TF10 and PA School District taxes

Started By  Jason Beard
(Topic has multiple pages1 2 )
Applied 9.0.1.10 and upgraded tax factory to v10 and our Local PA School District taxes are not being withheld.  In the BSI client I went through the tax locator modeling and BSI correctly returned both the local county and school district information.  Similarly, enabled debug in Lawson/BSI and ran a PR80.  the output log shows a calculated tax amount for the school district but none was withheld.     Is there anyone with employees in PA that have upgrade to TF10 or are in process and either ...

Explore different vacation plan options in LP

Started By  Deleted User
We are in biweekly 26-pay-period vacation accrual schedule in Absence Management. I have never understood why. Currently some employees are accrued at the last date of the pay period while other employees are accrued at the middle of the pay period. I am exploring different options to make our vacation plans more manageable. Does anyone have different accrual schedule other than 26-pay-period vacation accruals in place What about vacation plans that accrue only on the first two payrolls (24 p...

Extending ESS to the Web

Started By  Craig Villard
Hello, I will start by saying I am not very familiar with Lawson software, but I have been tasked with helping to get our ESS module to allow people to access ESS outside of our network, basically available to the web. We currently run Lawson on an iSeries system.   The person tasked with this previously has left the company and he didn't have much luck getting it working so there are few notes and documents around what was done or what needed to be done.   My basic understanding is that...

Reverse action doesn't remove PA13.2 record

Started By  Mary Porter
We just went live on LSF10 and I missed this in testing. I changed an employee's fte via PA52, then did a reverse action to change it back. The action reversed, but the position record remains. Has anyone else had this There's a KB article from 2008 but I don't see anything recently.

TF10 and Arizona Formula

Started By  Mary Porter
Since LSF10 removed the AZ Formula field and placed the Tax values in the BSI Formula field, employees in the state of Arizona are unable to use the ESS bookmark Payment Modeling. Employees in other states have no problem. If I do a PR89 within the application for AZ it works fine. Has anyone else in AZ experienced this, and if so how did you resolve it

Benefits Enrollment Adminsitrationn

Started By  Beate Hughes-Brown
We do not use ESS.  Our benefits team does all benefit enrollment manually.  Right now it is a 3 step process. 1 - Enroll employees on BN32.1 or BN31.2 2 - Enter dependent information on HR13, 3 - Attach dependents to the benefits.  Even if we use uploads we are using 3 uploads to accomplish enrollments.  This is a very inefficient process and we're hoping that maybe there is a better more efficient way to process benefit enrollments/changes/terms.  Does anyone have a good process they ...

Affect of calendar to fiscal year change for HR/PR

Started By  Lisa T.
We have been testing the change of our General Ledger from a calendar year to fiscal year ending 6/30. My question relates to the BN, HR, PR, LP, and PA subsystems. Is there anything within the HR/PR modules that needs to be done in preparation of this type of accounting change Our benefits will remain on a calendar year. Since payroll processing will remain on a calendar year to coincide with IRS and State tax reporting guidelines, I don't believe we would make any changes to our pay period da...

Troubleshoot EMSS 10 under different employee Identities

Started By  Woozy
Hi All, I am trying to troubleshoot an issue in EMSS, and it would be helpful to be able to change the employee Identity on-the-fly so I can see how the page reacts for different employees.  Currently, I either have to log out-and-in as different test users, or I have to use the debugger to change the authUser.employee value - if I can catch the page at the right place. It seems to me that I used to know a way to do this via a url parameter or something - but I can't remember for sure.  Anybod...

401(k) and Roth with Company Match

Started By  Kchan
Hello! I was wondering if there was anyone whose company offers Traditional 401(k) option and Roth with Company Match If so, what system do you use to calculate the match We need to aggregate both types of deferrals for the matching calculation. Lawson cannot first add both types of deferrals and then apply the appropriate matching formula. So, I was wondering if anyone can share how they do it   thanks!

Lawson SSO and self service portal user relation

Started By  Ramesha
I am trying to identify the relationship between employee and lawson portal user. As we know we can use lawson SSO servlet API to verify the user access to the portal. Is there any way we can get associated employee information like employee_id for this user login id from Lawson DB tables. Thanks in advance.

Auto Assigning of Empl Numbers

Started By  Kelly H
Has anyone turned on the auto assignment of numbers after manually assigning numbers for a long time We are currently manually assigning employee numbers in Lawson.  Unfortunately our numbers are not consistent and we have used four digit numbers as well as 6 or 7 digit numbers.   If we were to turn on the auto assignment of employee numbers, would it know to skip numbers that were already in use or would the random numbers that we used be a problem Ie) if we set the last number used to 310...

Find Latest Benefit Enrollment

Started By  Heidi
We are attempting to write a query in Access that will grab the most recent benefit enrollment for an employee.  We are finding that if a status change is performed that affects the benefit for the employee a stop date is placed on the first enrollment with a start date the day following.  (For instance the employee goes from part time to full time which affect their premium amount).  For for 2015, they may have an enrollment from 1/1/15 - 3/14/15 and then a subsequent enrollment starting at 3/1...

Infor Test Scripts

Fairly new to Infor and we are beginning our first patching project.  Was wondering if anyone could share their test scripts (or at least a sample)  I realize every company is different with different processes and whatnot, but we are starting from scratch really, so anything would help.  Also if you have any tips/tricks or lessons learned you think might be helpful, would love to hear them!   Thanks!
