Automatically end PR12 and PR14 when employee terminates

Started By  LeslieG
When an employee leaves our company we would like to automatically shut off their ACH (PR12) and end their 401k, 403(b), 457 deductions.   Is there a Lawson standard way to do this, or do we need run PR514 (for deductions) and PR512 (ACH direct deposit) to end date these records

ACH Pre-note process

Started By  Mary Porter
Currently our payroll department handles all ACH entries. A new account does't pre-note until the next payroll is run, and the employee gets a printed check that payroll.  Then their second check goes ACH. The organization wants to use ESS Direct Deposit but also avoid printed checks. So the pre-note process is now up for discussion and they want to know what best practice is with Lawson payroll.  We have discussed cutting off ESS access to Direct Deposit on Thursday afternoons and sending a p...

HSA set up with direct deposit

Started By  Bekki
We will be implementing medical plans that have HSA's for the first time effective 1/1/15.  How have others set the HSA piece up  I've seen some set them up under the HL code and others set them up under RS code.  Which is the best  Any information would be appreciate. Also, our vendor is requiring the money to be set up via direct deposit.  So the employee will have to go set up a bank account and we will send the HSA to that account  Where can we set up the direct deposit information  I...

Does anyone know how to set LAWSON up so that after mandatory taxes/deductions are taken out from the paycheck, the rest of it goes into 401(k) account so that there is no net amount left over thanks in advance!

Alternative to BSI TaxFactory

Started By  Moe Afram
After a horrible experience upgrading to BSI TaxFactory 10 and even worse customer service in troubleshooting our BSI issues, we are wondering if anyone has found any alternatives to BSI TF that have the same functionality and integration with Lawson

HR Groups - date into group and date out of group

Started By  Karen Ploof
Is there a file that stores the date an employee was added to a group and/or when they dropped out of a group  I'm thinking specifically of benefit groups, looking for a way to list the employees who became benefits eligible, or were eligible and became ineligible, during the past week.

401k Company only plan

Started By  Mary Porter
I have to set up a plan for employer only contributions to a 401k plan. it's a percent of wages but has an age band so I can't just make it a deduction unless we manually change the amount every time there's a birthday that changes an employee band, but I'd like to be able to use BN102 to manage that so that's why I want to put it in a BN15. Has anyone got anything like this setup If so are you willing to share your setup

Open Enrollment - BN32 Stop Dates

Started By  irish3782
I was just wondering if there was any way to stop having an end date placed on the BN32 when someone elects benefits through open enrollment.  We are set up as 'pending' as we let our employees make changes throughout the whole open enrollment.

2014 Payroll Year End PR299

Started By  Deleted User
We applied the 2014 Payroll Year End initial download.  I compared the EFW2512 file I created before the bulletin was applied to the EFW2512 file created after it was applied.  The RE company header records are all missing the notification email address (starts in position 279). Infor says that they cannot duplicate the issue, although I am on the current PR299PD version.  Has anyone else noticed this issue

PGEMPLOYEE - Employee Groups Not Populating

Started By  Orlando Gray
NEWB here. Back in November we ran into an issue adding new Employees in Lawson. When employees were added to one of our companies (Company 10) in HR11, they were no longer being added to any employee groups. All employees hired are generally added to quite a few employee groups. This began happening in the middle of the day on a Monday. We tried recompling HR11 and HR55 but that did not help. We then ran HR155 for one group and it added the group to three of the new employees that had previousl...

IRS Lock-In Letter (PR14.2 vs PR13)

Started By  Karen Ploof
We found that when we add a lock-in letter for an employee on PR14.2, it changes the of exemptions on PR13.  And if we change the exemptions on PR13, it updated the value on PR14.2. My belief is that we should be able to have an employee whose lock-in letter specifies 10 exemptions, submit a W-4 for 6 exemptions and be in compliance. What am I missing that is making Infor force the exemptions on PR13 and PR14.2 match   Karen

Seeking method to mass adjust accrual dates

Started By  Kelci
It could be that I'm spoiled by Oracle, which is the primary HRIS run by my company, but I simply do not get the way Lawson accruals work.  As an example, I'll use the most recent paycheck, paid today (1/9/15) for the pay period of 12/21/14 - 1/3/15.  Some people's accruals from this check post with a December date, and others post with a January date.  Is there a way to standardize the accrual post date so that they all just post to the same date, preferably the pay date

Term Dates in BN106 (HIPAA834) files

Started By  TBonney
We have a vendor requesting that we provide term dates in our BN106 HIPAA834 files. We create our files using the 'Validate' option. It is our understanding that, for lack of a better term, these are 'full' files, including all employees/dependents who have coverage under the chosen plan type and plan(s) selected. This being said, isn't it true that those employee (or dependents) who have not elected coverage, or who have dropped their respective coverage from any of these plans would not be i...

BN72 and BN32 Uploads

Started By  Dave Williams
I use uploads for BN32 and BN72.  Recently I noticed that my upload did not affect the correct benefit on an employee record.  When mapping Excel columns to the correct LAWSON detail field, I have always used the 'r0' option. If the 'r0' option if selected (e.g., '_f24:r0,PTB-COV-OPTION1') then LAWSON will update detail row 0 (which is the 1st row of detail records).  I have noticed that LAWSON displays the detail records in the following order:  HL, DN, EL, followed by DC and RS (at least that'...

PR140 Enhancement Request 31787 and 31294

Started By  Margie Gyurisin
I recently entered an enhancement request aand was told it would need to go to the user group level first. Please vote '10' for this - 31787. BSI 10 Payment Overrides

Started By  Deleted User
More of an informal survey than anything else - do you save your historical payment overrides, so you can see within BSI what the annual contributions to DC plans have been over the years  We have done this, however, I think I'm trying to talk myself into changing our process, especially with BSI10.  Keeping the history has allowed us to catch some errors in the past, however, with the new web version, in my opinion, it's much more time consuming to maintain this way.  Unless I'm totally missin...

Beating a dead horse?... Proxy in EMSS???

Started By  mcarlson
We are planning to integrate several self service tasks out to Managers and are looking for a solution to help with proxy.   These managers in many cases are not always behind a desk, and it's not uncommon for them to have an admin or controller  that manages all of their employee maintenance for them.   We are willing to engage a 3rd party to develop some sort of 'bolt -on' solution that rides on top of Self Service if necessary...Has anybody had any real success with this type of requiremen...

Lawson S3 HRM integration with CertPoint (infor) LMS

Started By  Margie Gyurisin
We have contractors in Lawson who have no reason to have a Lawson user ID. We are in the midst of implementing CertPoint (Infor) LMS and it appears as if they have to be in LDAP in order to pulled in the integration. We want them to be brought over through the integration but they will not have any access to Lawson forms. Has anyone done this What did you do What type of security in LSA did you create/assign I appreciate any help/advice you can give. This is all very new to us. Thanks.
