I am creating an audit for the data analyst that enters all of our direct deposit requests.   When I go to the Employee Automatic Deposit (PR12.6) screen, it indicates that this field can be found on the EAD-AUTO-DEP-ST.  I am taking this to mean it can be found on the EMACHDEPST Employee ACH Account table from the EAD and found in the field for Automatic Deposit Status.  When I pull in the EMACHDEPST table, I cannot find AUTO-DEP-ST field ANYWHERE!    Thinking that maybe it has another name...

I'm looking for some guidance regarding setting up new salary grades. Currently we do not have any grades at all. Is there a way to add the grades to PA95.1 and automatically update the existing job codes If not, is there a checklist of items that anyone could share Thank you! B.

We are currently trying to decide the proper way to get the data out of Lawson to determine which employees meet the 30 hour per week criteria.  We are going around in circle trying to determine how best to pull this data from Lawson, essentially focusing on what to do with employees who may have switched statuses during the reporting period.  Just wondering what you all were doing and if there was possible anything Lawson has provided that we may have missed.  Thanks in advance for your help.

We have been asked by our IT Security department to mask employees' social security numbers. There has been a bit of discussion going around. Security is concerned about phishing scams and HR believes that employees need a place to be able to view and confirm their SSN. Anyone else dealing with something like this How would you mask the SSN anyway Thanks!

Hello, I have a Seniority plan that uses a LP07 Calculation off of a service class.  The calculation is multiplied by “1” to give credit for each hour under the service class credit.  I now need to add a few new codes to the calculation at “.25” credit.  How do others handle this  Are you using a formula instead of a calc Thanks

A couple of questions:  If an employee has both Roth and pretax deferrals 1. Will the Roth 401(k) deferral amount and the pre tax 401(k) amount automatically shut off when the employee hits $17500  I do not want to match any catch up. so do I need to build a separate catch up plan 2.  In addition to the above, employees may also be in the 401(k) Plan and the 403(b) plan due to 401(k) deferral limits on the HCE's.  Is there way for the deferrals (401(k) and 403(b)) to shut off at the 17500 d...

I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction.  Ever since Open Enrollment, our new hire benefits are starting date of hire.  They should start first of month.  In addition, we are getting benefit entry point errors for life events.  I have engaged Lawson support and they suggested we add new 01/01/14 dates in BN16.  Our BN16 set up looks correct as it matches previous years.  We have first of month entry points set up for new hire group and no entry points set up for all other groups.

Anybody familiar with t run flag in TAEEMASTER file  There are some transactions that did not close and have the run flag = 1 (transaction processed). I know LP140 updates this flag.

After running the BN105 on 01/02/14, we have a number of employees whose dependents are no longer enrolled as of 12/31/13.  For example, an employee has family coverage on 01/01/14 but no dependents enrolled.  On 12/31/13, the dependents were enrolled.  This seemed to affect employees who did not participate in open enrollment.  Any areas to look at Is there a canned report to show employees with family coverage and no dependents enrolled

I want to select records for a Crystal report based on change date, if personnel actions were not used.  I saw a previous post that indicated the effective date on HR11 is field 267.  I want to display the two fields on a Crystal report.  Does anyone know if they are in the EMPLOYEE table, or are they maintained in the HRHISTORY table  Thank you.

We've noticed that of 2500 W-2's produced for 2012, 100 of them inadvertently did not include the Box 12 Code DD information.  A glitch was uncovered in the program that created our PR11 upload while preparing to produce our 2013 W-2's. I have reviewed the IRS website for guidance on the need for W-2C's, etc.  It seems this type of error may be classified as inconsequential (it didn't impact the SSA processing of the W-2 of EE tax filings).  There is reference that no error can be considered ...

If an employee has lived in 2 states during the year and paid taxes in 2 states, what do you have to set up to get the boxes 1 - 14 to print on the W2 for the second state I've been looking all over and can't find anything.

I made a mistake in PA02 when changing supervisor information on a position and can't figure out how to fix it. I set Update Employees to Y. I thought I had used today’s date as the effective date but as soon as I hit Add I saw that I had a typo and had entered the date as 01/14/5201. we are processing 1/10 payroll and time entry can not be made in the PR35.2 or 36 for 1/1/2014 and 1/2 /2014. We believe due to the PR22 showing the calander work period as 1/09/2014 when it should be 1/2/2014. For those of you tracking retiree benefits in Lawson, does anyone track them in BN32 instead of BN72  We are considering making a switch to BN32, because it simplifies report writing for us.  Can anyone offer some insight as to why retiree benefits must be entered in BN72  What are we not considering

We added new contribution ratesto our existing benefit plans on BN19.1. Our open enrollment was done through ESS and anyone who made an election for 2014 has a new BN32 record dated 1/1/14 and everything is working fine. But employees who did not make an election will carry their existing benefits into the new year, and their BN32 record has a date of 1/1/13, which is pulling in the old rate from BN19.1.
