Does anyone know how to prevent an employee from appearing in the org chart We tried clearing the supervisor field but the employee then appears at the top of the org chart.

I would like to speak to someone regarding employees who work in two or more process levels.  We are an organization with one company, but about 10 different process levels, representing different IDs.  All are independent except one.  We do not use multiple positions, but do assign alt jobs which can be charged at the timeclocks.  Of course, crossing process levels means mutiple W2s.  We do not have a common paymaster.  What I would like to do is see what others are doing and establish what is ...

Can anyone clarify the various definitions to build under the Citizen field of PA18. Example if someone has a US permanent resident card their country would be US, Citizen would be defined as alien resident and document would be Permanent Resident card. But, if someone holds an H1B document from Canada...their country would obviously be Canada (CA), document would be H1B, and I would imagine the citizen field you'd select citizen...since they are a citizen of Canada...correct What other def...

We are considering setting up a default enrollment into our 403b for all employees and new hires. I dont have the specifics yet, but let's assume that as of the first of the month following hire they would be automatically enrolled with a 3 election for the 403b plan. I wonder if anyone has any technical information on the use/purpose of the 'History Correction Method' field in PA50.1, which can be found under the 'Defaults' tab. All of our actions are currently utilising option 1 (Create pending update records) and nobody seems to know what selecting this option actually does. Is it simply a way to set this as the default correction method when undertaking corrections via Special Processing in PA52.1 Help much appreciated.

I used a PA52 add-in template to add individual personnel actions.  I was able to create pending records in PA52.1 but, when I try to update the actions by running PA100, I get an error message that I can't identify.  Is there a way to mass delete the pending actions (instead of deleting one by one in PA52)  I want to clear the table and start over.

We use Lawson S3 9.0.1.x payroll and ESS and web time entry.  We would like to configure standard time cards for our exempt employees so they don't have to do the data entry in web time every pay period.  We only want them to enter data when taking leave such as vacation, etc.  I think lawson can do this.  Anyone have any pointers on how to configure this  Thanks, Jim Ollerton EVMWD

BN12 has an annual maximum (255K for 2013) and it stops the 401 deduction when eligible wages hit that maximum. But it is the first 255K of eligible wages. Is there a way to make the deduction spread out over the full year using 255K throughout the year

My users are testing LP for float holidays. We are having an issue with dates not reflecting the actual float date. Transactions are posting with the pay period end date for the cycle being processed We would like employees to receive a float on the exact date of the float holiday.

Has anyone set-up their 403b to accommodate the 15-years of service rule  We are a hospital and qualify for this additional contribution for our employees who have worked full-time for 15 years.  We're not sure how to set-up this additional limit, since it doesn't apply to all participating employees.

I have discovered that one of our unions was paying an incorrect deduction amount for their employee only coverage.  I discovered that they were incorrectly made part of an employee benefit group.  I changed the benefit group to exclude this particular union. I ran HR155 to remove them from one benefit group that I believe was causing the issue.  There is another benefit group that is tied to the correct rate tables but I can't seem to get the employees rate to change on BN32.1 Am I missing a...

Is there a table or query that can be used to determine if an employee was in a specific Employee Group for a specific time period For example, determine if the employee was in a specific Employee Group for the time period January 2012 – December 2012.

What is the best practice for maintaining PR12 Our payroll department would like to see a history of each time a PR12 record was changed. and EMACHDEPST only keeps the last change, and I can't find any other tables that would hold changes. We are reducing the PTO max but we want to allow employees who are at their current max to be able to keep the hours that are over for 6 months. How can I accomplish that If use the carryover tab and input a future date (6 months out) and I enter the hours limit, when I click on 'change' it gives me a message - 'carryover end date must be between entry and next carryover date' - but I can't find the dates they are referring to. I'm trying to determine the most efficient way to set up a 403b plan in which the employee can contribute upon hire regardless of age.  The employee becomes eligible for the employer match when they turn 21. Does this require 2 different benefit plans based on minimum age on BN16 Benefit Entry Rules There is no minimum age field on BN18.7 Match Percent Schedule.
