General Ledger Override on deduction?!

Started By  clb393
Hello! I have an employee that when i drill down into HR11 under deductions, in their Retirement deduction code (3601) there is a General Ledger Override to their expense account (see attached).  I don't believe it is coming from the BN20 because there is only a very small number of group overrides there, none of which this employee belongs to. Can you tell me from where else could an override be attaching itself to this deduction Many thanks, Chris

How can we stop deduction splits by process level?

Started By  Mary Porter
We set up each of our facilities as a process level and we have employees that work in multiple facilities. All of them are in the same county/state. When they work in multiple facilities, all of their deductions get split up by their percentage of hours worked in each process level. Their deductions don't get charged to their accounting units, they all roll to one benefits accounting unit. Is there any way to set this up so that the deductions don't split up It makes reporting a nightmare. W...

Moving all to one pay cycle

Started By  Kelly H
We have approximately 20,000 employees and are looking at some options regarding our pay cycles. We currently have two pay cycles that pay on alternating weeks.  One option we are considering is moving to one pay cycle...has anyone else done this recently  We are on 9.0.  Outside of the employee communication pieces, any words of wisdom or advice

Help! Need to set up flat amount LP plan!

Started By  Sarah
Currently, we have a flex plan in place for regular employees (aka ee) and they accrual flex time every pay period. I am working on creating another flex plan for a small group of doctors that get a flat number of days every year. I thought I had it set up correctly...created the employee group (aka ee grp) to identify who is eligible for this plan, tied it to the same Absence Plan (it's cycle based so I think I can do that.) but defined the service, accrual, eligibility, limit, payroll and ...

ESS Hiding Supplemental Address Tab

Started By  KJBULLS
Hello, I am trying to hide 'Supplemental' address tab in ESS under 'Personal Changes'. I went to modify empaddress.htm and tried to hide the code wherever 'Supplemental' was referenced. It hides it, but then the 'Home Address' change submission doesn't work. It seems like I am not commenting out the right code. Has anyone ever done this I thought it should not be that hard to hide a tab. Any ideas Thanks, KJ

PR195 Accrual Program

Started By  Bernie R
Since PR195 does not include Activity data in the accrual file, we have been searching for a way to automate the preparation of adjustment files for general ledger.  We have been creating csv files from PR195 to use in preparing adjustment files and have found that the employee number is not assigned to each of the lines in PR195 for the employer deduction amount calculated by PR195.  In order to use the PR195 detail to concatenate the activity code, the employee number must be in the PR195 deta...

Design Studio button script for ImageNow

Started By  jph826
I've been asked to add a button to a Lawson HR form that will execute ImageNow.  The sample script I have is for AP and I don't know how to change it to apply to an HR form.  Has anyone done this and if so, would you be willing to share a sample script with me  We basically want it to use the Lawson to show the associated documents. Here is what was in their documentation: 1. Open Lawson Design Studio and open the Lawson Form to which you want to add a button. 2. At the bottom of the s...

BSI Contribution Limits for 457b

Started By  Gary Stone
Essentially, 457(b) can now accomodate Pre and After Tax contributions (I believe IRS has allowed this a few years ago). Currently, our 403(b) and 403(b) Roth Contributions aggregate as they should utilizing the tax status codes, 02 and 17 on the PR05. 457(B) Roth has a tax status of 04 but not a corresponding after tax status code... it must be left blank to get the appropriate after-tax calculation; this does not aggregate toward the maximum contribution. Has anyone experienced this issue

Changing HR User Field

Started By  George Graham
Have a user field that was created as an alpha field. It is also set up to create history records. Values were loaded in this field for employees. The field really needs to be changed to be a numeric field, not alpha. The problem is that I cannot delete the user field since it has history activity attached to it. I have tried all possible combinations of removing the history records but can't seem to get rid of the last one in HR54. If I delete the value from an employee through HR15 - then I ha...

Need a way to customize cycles for New Hire and Open Enrollment

Started By  Jsphlane20
Hello Everyone, I'm looking for a way to customize the pay cycles for a process level that shares the same pay plan as another. The Lawson 'BN Admin Guide 9.01' only outlines how to maintain web benefit cycle data for those that share a different pay plan. Can someone point me in the right direction as to what steps I need to take to implement custom cycles for this scenario Thanks, Joseph
