Rate calculation in LP198

Started By  Bernie R
The rate used to calculate liability in LP198 is incorrect for salaried multiple position employees.  LP198 is using the fte from position level 1 rather than total fte to arrive at the rate.  Lawson's response is LP198 is working as designed.  Does anyone have any experience with Custom Calculations in LP  We would appreciate any information regarding this.

Lawson S3 & Infor - do you know what the direction is?

Started By  RachelM
We are a current Lawson S3 HR/Payroll user.  Have you heard any chatter out there about what Lawson/Infor intends to do with this product in the future  I attended an Infor seminar and it seems that Infor is very heavily focused on supply chain management, something we do not use here at our company.  I'm concerned that our product will become extinct before I realize what's going on!

Minimum Wage Calculation

Started By  upasana
Hi All, We are having one Trucking client. Employees are paid on Piece Rate basis. PR132 is switched however, TP135 is switched off for the client as they are not tipped employees. As the employees are paid on piece rate basis there are chances that they are not getting minimum wage as per Federal rules. Hence, we have to manually calculate the wages and add them to the employees. Please confirm if Lawson have a report which ensures EE’s getting minimum wages irrespective of tip status. If a...

Compensation Management with Lawson?

Started By  mcarlson
We are looking at implementing a new Compensation management package.  Has anybody had any good or bad experiences using any of the following with Lawson  1. ADP 'Workscape' 2. Meta4 3. Peopleclick Authoria (Peoplefluent) 4. Taleo Unfortunately, Lawson has priced themselves out of the running and we are now beginning to look at these 4 vendors for a solution.  Any feedback on any of these vendors would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! ~mc

SSNs beginning in 776 and 874

Started By  Deleted User
We have two new hires that have Canadian citizenship that we loaded to our system with SSNs beginning with 776 and 874.  An interface that updates other information on their record is erroring out because it does not like these SSNs.  When we go to SSA.gov they  error out in a test because of the first 3 digits, but these are the numbers on their SSN card.  Any ideas  Thanks Julie

Did you configure the portal to timeout after a period of inactivity If so, what was the interval 3. Did you install kiosks to accommodate employees who don’t have internet access 4. What post go-live issues, if any,...

BSI 9 and processing actions in PA52

Started By  David Boudreau
Hi - we're working on a custom program to trigger personnel actions and it tested fine in an environment with BSI 8 installed; 12000  actions in 42 mins.  When testing in an environment with BSI 9 installed, we are seeing 11 actions process per minute.  BSI 9 messages are not giving us much info to work with.  Has anyone experienced similar issues and can you point me to a next step for troubleshooting  Many thanks, Dave.

Benefit Rates update

Started By  Barry
We have a new Age Rate Table established with BN02.1 with a start date of Nov 1, 2011 A new contribution record was added with BN18.4 with the same start date I then run BN102 in report mode. Employees that changed age brackets over the past year are shown as being updated correctly. I then ran BN105 in Report mode and expected all participants to be listed with the new rates. However, no records were returned. Since the new rate table should be applied to all employees enrolled in the plan...

2012 Pennsyslvania Act 32 Tax Changes

Started By  Jodi Kruesel
We are beginning to prepare for the 2012 Act 32 taxing changes for the state of Pennsylvania. I've gathered information from BSI, Lawson, the state of PA and other resources to better educate our company on the changes. We are based in MN and produce payroll in MN but have sales force of about 40 that live and work in the state of PA. What are others doing to prepare for this There is a new setting on Lawson on HR00 - Local Reciprocal Calculations that will likely need to change from blan...

Tax Factory 9

Started By  DawnDaubert
Hello! Has anyone upgraded to Tax Factory 9 yet I am working on 9.0.c (ya' know, the one that was MANDATORY and DUE 06/27/2011). I previewed the CTP that Lawson indicated was required to run TF9. According to the preview, it wants to compile 634 programs! I know that 9.0.c might not really be mandatory, depending on what states you need, but we are soon going to start our 9.0.0 to 9.0.1 app upgrade. I was hoping to get 9.0.c done before we started with the app. Testing both the app upgra...

Retired Screen Replacement?

Started By  Deleted User
We're in the process of upgrading from 8.1 to 9.0.1 apps, and have discovered that a frequently used inquiry screen has been retired - PR51.3 Pay Stub Inquiry - Web. What's so nice about this screen is it shows non-closed payments - very useful when our users are calculating adjustments, etc. I'm poking around throughout the application, and can't find an equivalent screen. Has anyone else ever used the PR51.3, and do you have suggestions for a work around Many thanks - hoping I'm just having a...

Anyone use BN531 to import new plan?

Started By  Sarah
My question is...what fields are needed in order to do the BN531 We are taking two suplife insurance plans and combining them into 1 suplife plan so we can utilize automation rules because the only reason these two plans existed was to identify the executives with the correct limit amount.  We have been able to nest the exe rules within 1 plan and planned to roll this new plan out OE 2012.  The suplife plan isn't really changing it's just how we have the information warehoused; plan A a...

Hiring an employee

Started By  RachelM
due to the amount of information we want to collect on a new hire we run two different actions.  1st is the prehire; this is done via PA52.4 and we use the fill defaults button for the majority of the information (PL, Dept, Job Code, Position Code, Security Location & Code, Supervisor, etc).  Next we'll run the PA100 and assign the individual a Lawson ID.  This allows for that employee to flow over to our IT system and the whole process of getting a PC is started.  Once the employee is in Orient...
