PR39 Automation

Started By  BlackSVT03
First I want to say is, I have no experience in Lawson. My knowledge consists of what I can make head or tails out of from the training workbooks of some of my colleagues. So with that out of the way, I have been assigned the task of trying to completely automate the one time deductions. What we have now is we do a data dump from the cafeteria, gift shop; etc. After that, we have a process flow that reads the file, parses out the data, modifies the data and then creates a csv file. Then payroll ...

Creating a PA213 report in Crystal Reports...HELP!

Started By  Sarah
We moved to Lawson in 2006 and the PAEMPPOS table has history back to 12/26/2006 but we have a need for data going back prior to 2006 and the HRHISTORY,PERSACTHIST, and PRRATEHIST all have the history from our previous HR\Payroll software. My issue is how to display one clean row per effective dated change instead of showing several rows for every history action. Could I create a derived field in Crystal Rpts like DEPT=HRHISTORY.FLD_NBR='15' so it would only display the ee's department for t...

BN100/BN70 Issues

Started By  Kelly H
We have a regular number of employees losing benefits because of a reduction in hours. The BN100 is ending the employee's benefits correctly, but not creating a BN70 for the employee. We had 5 employees who lost benefits due to the same PA on 5/29/11, 4 had the BN70 created and one didn't. On 5/27, we had two lose benefits, one had the BN70 created and one didnt. It is the same personnel action, and in many cases, the same benefit plans. When I review the BN100 it shows the health an...

HR/PR Add In Query

Started By  Jeff in PA
Hi-First time poster here & just getting familiar with the Add Ins. I've been able to set up my query to capture most fields out of Lawson for purposes of budgeting. However, I'm stumped on this: We have numerous employees whose time is split amongst mutiple departments on a permanent basis & when they are paid it is being coded in this fashion. However, when I go to run my query I can only seem to find their home department in the download. Are there fields within the tables I shou...

Salary History is missing

Started By  RachelM
When we process a new employee, it seems that the PR13 is sometimes filled in with default resident/state information and sometimes it's not. Sometimes when it is filled in, it's only partially filled in. We've narrowed the issue down to 'Salary History' - it's missing. For every individual who is missing PR13, they do not have Salary History filled in on their record. (drill around > salary history folder is missing) What would cause a Salary History error We have hired 2 individuals t...

Installing Employee Self Service on a standalone Windows server

Started By  C Fritz
We are attempting to install ESS on a stand alone Windows server. The Portal and other Lawson applications reside on another server inside our fire wall. ESS will reside alone on its own server. I am seeing that Lawson install does not suggest this configuration - it has installing on the same server with the rest of the other components or installing with the Portal software on a server outside a firewall. I am wondering if anyone has tried this implemention we are looking at where the ESS ...

Electronic W4s

Started By  jagrwd
Do you know of a vendor that has an app that supports electronic state w4 forms We'd like to create a link in Lawson that will allow employees to access and submit state specific forms in ESS. It's my understanding that we are also required to save an electronic image of these as well.

Using PRUEDED for retirement calc

Started By  Daniel
We currenly are using PRUEDED to do a custom calculation for our teacher and support staff retirement. While the calculation works fine during the school year it is during the summer when teachers are not on contract and teaching summer school we do not want PRUEDED using some of the board paid deductions to calculate retirement for their summer work. We are looking at removing the deduction cycle 1 and 2 from these employees (PR15.2) but we are having a difficult time with accessing the field ...

Getting a garbage value 20202020202 .02 ,while printing to a CSV

Started By  Vijay S
Hello, I am getting a garbage value 202020202.02 in the amount fields whose debit and credit values value are zeroes, while printing to a CSV file. I have already initialized that field in the CSV but not working. I checked, using display statements, it is picking up the correct values, also calcuating current values but while priniting it prints up 202020202.02 from nowhere. It is occuring for only those account values which have zero credit and debit account. Any idea Thanks- Vijay

PA52 error: No prior history for adjusted date of hire

Started By  RachelM
We had an employee who worked for our company prior to installing Lawson. He also worked for us after we installed Lawson. He terminated while we had Lawson, so a term record exists on his account but not a prehire/hire action. He was scheduled to be rehired so we keyed the prehire action (this gets things like his PC set up and a security badge started). Unfortunately, he didn't actually show up for the job and we're now trying to reverse out his prehire action on PA52. We keep getting...

LP331 run for 953 employees in vers 9.0.1.5

Started By  Deleted User
We have a need to run LP331 for 953 employees to fix an oops. There is no addins to do this and there is history out there that we want removed, so lp31 will not let us delete that way. I know that in version 9017 lp331 has an option to remove via emp group..but we are not able to get that tested and installed before we have to do this purge in live. I'm thinking that we'll have to plug in 9 emp 's at a time and run lp331 106 times unless there is something that I've not thought of. I...

how to pay certain employees weekly with a biweekly payroll

Started By  spatterson
We are looking for any solutions others may have to accomodate a recent request. We are starting to do some work for government contracts which the employees will need to have certified payroll and be paid weekly when they work on these government contracts. Here are a few notes to keep in mind. 1. Will not always be the same employees 2. may not always be a full 40 hours worked on that project 3. the number of employees could change daily (could be 1 person could be 3 people) I thought...
