We are acquiring another hospital who also uses Lawson (not sure to what extent at this point).  Does anyone know if there other options for moving data from their Lawson into our Lawson other than the conversion programs?
At this point, I'm thinking this would be the basic HR11 data for around 400 employees.  Thanks!

from past experiences, you are far better to use a Lawson to Lawson conversion plan.

Definitely use Lawson's plan!  Just create CSV files in Lawson's formats and you're good to go!

Use HR511 for employee load and HR513 for dependent load.

What about benefits, leave balances, payroll, etc?

Benefits is a BIG question right now.  Our eligibility is set to allow enrollment within 30 days of adjusted hire.  However, we want them to enroll several weeks prior to that date (7/1/14) so they can receive insurance cards by their hire date.  I tested setting up a new BS01 annual enrollment rule for 5/1 - 5/31 but it requires a current benefit date and since they are new hires, there are no current benefits. Does anyone have any ideas on how to enroll (in Lawson) 400 employees in benefits several weeks prior to a 7/1 effective date?  Better yet, does anyone by any chance have a check list for acquiring other company's into Lawson?  I'm sure there are many considerations.

Did you get anywhere with this? I was thinking that New Hire enrollment would work. We have ours set up using Benefit Dates that we set up for 45 days so
they have two weeks before they are eligible for benefits to enroll.

Yes thank you. Using a new employee group and adding new annual enrollment rules with a future New Election Date of 7/1 and it worked. Deductions were created with an eff date of 7/1. I tested new hire enrollment in the same way which worked as well.
