first off...forgive me if this is in the wrong section or a stupid question.

we have lost our lawson analyst and we have no experience.

we have lawson 9.1

our insurance broker/provider has requested we  "would like to add an additionall EligData segment, which will specify the benefit coverage for members and dependents. This EligData is referred to EligData9 – Product Link records"

they provided a file that we can compare to others that are saved in a reference folder.

however, we have no idea how to 'modify this file' to add the segment.

what we do know is that lawson supposedly creates a file weekly that sends eligibility data to this company via ftp.

what we need to know is where is this file created, where is it located, how to modify it.

Please help

Sounds like BN106. The file name and location are parameters.

Add a post-process (developed in 4GL, Processflow or some tool) , that will take the file created by BN106 and add/modify segments as needed

First, go through all the BN106 parameters. Maybe specifying them appropriately will give you what you need. If that does not, you will need a post-process. I have done the post-process at a few sites. Not easy.
