We are planning to ugrade our iSeries OS to v6r1. Currently we are on v8.1 of applications & v8.03 of the environment. Lawson does not support v6r1 with v8.1. Has anyone done this What issues should we be on the look out for

We are getting a 'Error occurred during printing' just when trying to print from users print managers when they are set to Text.   Pdf comes up and prints fine. Is it because Text prints to Lawson-defined printers and PDF prints to local printers How would one go about fixing this issue

Hello, We are required to automate user setup for Lawson and get the user(s) into 3 areas.  Forgive me if my terminology is off, I am going from docs provided by the client.  The 3 areas are RM data, Lawson Portal and Lawson Process Flow Admin. We currently have test and production servers running AIX 5.2, DB2 8.1(Prod), DB2 8.2(Test),Websphere 6.1. We need to upgrade to DB2 to version 9, but to do that we also need to upgrade the operating system to 5.3 and go from 32 bit kernel to 64 bit kernal. We have been running LSF 9.004 in a very stable state for some time now and have taken the approach of not patching unless necessary. From how this notice reads the patch bundle will be needed for applying patches created after 2/2/10 but only references LSF 9.005 and newer. I have enabled SSL for my lawson portal and passed all smoke tests. Process flow works for Designer and administrator. However, I cannot login to https://lawdev.baylorhealth.edu/bpm/menu.do. After I typed in username and password it redirect to a non-ssl page. it is strange and got page cannot be display error. I did run pfserv config. What am I doing wrong here Please advice.

I've been assigned the task to upgrade our Lawson S3 9.0.0.2 Core Technologies application to the 9.0.0.8 version. We'll be upgrading our database to Oracle 10G as well, but I'm trying to figure out the best path for the process. Can anyone tell me if 9.0.0.2 works with 10G I'd like to determine if I can upgrade the database to 10G first, and then apply the patches, or if I need to do vice versa and apply the patches and then upgrade the database to 10G. Our security folks want to implement Oracles ASM module to encrypt the FICA field within the EMPLOYEE table. How does Lawson react to that field being encrypted by the ASM tool and what happens to the data when it is displayed in say HR11 Does it show up

OK, we are wanting to play with our dev system and do an LDAPBIND against it on LSF. Currently, all authentication is done via the LSA tool and if we are successful in doing a LDAPBIND against our AD via ADAM can we go back to the way it was before I know it creates a recovery file but how do we use it

Has anyone applied data level security on a system code, like Billing, where you restricted a user from creating invoices for a particular process level  In our billing system we have 2 companies and 6 process levels for each company.  I've set this up to where a user has 'Inquiry only' for one of those process levels, and I have one user who has an issue.  For some reason, she cannot drill into an invoice in BL80 and look at the AR transaction.  Does this seem weird or odd to anyone  I don't ...

Hi all, We had an issue today with a Zombie process listed in LATM.  Our server administrator attempted to kill the process every way he knew how with no luck. We are running Lawson 9.0.0.4 on Windows.  I know that the LID session is UNIX based, and on a Windows system, the commands translate UNIX commands into Windows commands.  So, the kill command usually never works. I'm trying to uninstall LSF technology patch, LSFCT_NT_09000006P39833, and I am unable to do so.  I'm getting the following error message: 'Fatal Error, Exiting....Patch Removal cannot continue.'  Why am I getting this error  Is there a fix for it  It's frustrating to get this message.

My team and I are currently using the Lawson S3 9.0.0.2 Core Technologies application, and would like to have a report/notification sent out via email when a job finishes, to show the output/if the job was succesful or not. We are a Unix (AIX 5.3), LSF901ESP4 shop.  After most recent round of environment patches applied Feb 12, we are now seeing messages in the ladb.log like 'IOS_TransactionController_DbDataArea Orphan of kind 'GEN' was identified and removed.' Has anyone gotten LSF 9.0.0.5 to work with V6R1  I know it's not certified but I'm looking to see if we can upgrade our operating system and then do the upgrade to 9.0.1 and websphere 7.

I need to replace a web server that has an ADAM instance on it.  The new server has IIS, WAS plugin, Portal, and an ADAM instance (set up as a replicating instance) installed on it.  Now, how do I get rid of the original ADAM and have lawson use the new one.  If I stop the original ADAM instance, lawson does not start.  Can anyone help me with this
