Can not view other user report in PDF format in print manager

We are on LSF 9.0.0.4, AIX Oracle platform. After applying env pt. 176260, when users view another users report in portal, the pdf is blank and no errors. They can view the report in text fine. They can view there own reports in pdf fine. I just wonder whether people here in the community experience same problem and what is the workaround for it if there is any

After the upgrade, I am receiving two identical entries of this error whenever I startlaw. LoadFromSSOByUID[]: No Identity with UID [0] [F:\LINTE\UNIV\bin\lajs.exe] Any thought I know the smallest UID is 1 by default which belongs to NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM. Why is it trying to load UID [0]

Lawson Administration Support for LSF 9

I would like to know how other companies handle system support with in house installations.  With the upgrade to LSF9, there is a marked increase in complexity.  THe biggest obstacle seems to be around Websphere.  WHat training did your companies have for Websphere to support Lawson

Database collation importance - HIGHLY TECHNICAL HELP NEEDED

Started By  John Costa
First, I apologize if this thread was started in the wring forum, but I didn't really see where else it would fit. I know this is likely to be a highly technical issue, but I sure hope someone can provide a detailed explanation for me.   How important is the specified collation for a database, specifically a Lawson database   When our 8.0.x environment was installed for us back in 2004 (by Lawson, I might add), they also installed SQL-Server 2000 as part of that install. However, the insta...

Upgrade Env from 9.0.0.5 to 9.0.1 Error

Started By  Ruma Malhotra
We are trying to upgrade our env 9.0.0.5 to 9.0.1 and while trying to run the upgrade we get the foll. error: File GEN/EXECUTABLE. OpenDBFile2 error is Driver failed (54). When we look at the lawson kb the resolution is to set the ORACLE_HOME directory in /etc/lawson.env and $LAWDIR/gen/oracle. We have checked both the places and they are the same and have been set. Has anybody seen this error How did you resolve this, tia Ruma.

Archiving a Product Line?

Started By  KevinY
When we implemented Lawson at the tail end of last year, we imported 2008 employee tax data from our legacy system (Oracle) to a PL set up specifically for W2's to create the documents out of Lawson.  We are hosted by Lawson, and they want us to get down to no more than three PL's in our DEV environment.   The W2 Product line is a candidate for eventual deletion, but not right now.  I intend to gather retention and retrieval requirements from our HR group, assuming that data from a Lawson PL ca...

Copying and modifying a security class in LAUA

Started By  StephenV
In attempts to create new security classes we have difficulty getting the drill around in the GL90 function to work. We took the following steps to create two new security classes: Copied one security class (BIZANALYST) twice Removed access to specific applications and forms within applications for each of the two new classes This created two new security classes called AP/GLPROC and VENDMAINT. Once this was done access was OK until Lawson  was restarted (stoplaw and startlaw).  So, day...

How do I allow nulls in dbdef?

Started By  Vito Amatulli
Does anyone know how to allow nulls using the dbdef utility  I tried to contact Lawson but they told me since it was a custom table that I would need Professional services. I think that I may have to use the bldibmddl command to generate the SQL and then alter it to allow nulls.  If I use the bldibmddl command, will it allow that change to be recoginized by Lawson  Any suggestions wouild be appreciated.

listusermap record location for LSF9?

We are on LSF9.0.0.6, Windows Server 2003, and SQL-Server 2005. Where is the data provided by the command ‘listusermap’ stored   If I run ‘listusermap –r’, to dump the data from the Windows Registry, it appears to be no longer stored there as I get a message indicating “UserMap does not exist.”    If I run ‘listusermap –g’, to dump the data from the UserMap table of the GEN database, I get back zero records.   Lastly, if I run ‘listusermap –c’, to dump the data from the environment cache...

LDAP Trusted Domain???

Started By  DavidO
Ok... just to give a little background information... and I'm sorry if it is long... I just don't want to leave anything out. We currently have LDAP setup so our domain users can login to lawson.  When a new user needs access we run a perl script that adds the user information into LDAP I guess (I didn't set that up, and the person who did has moved on). Here is the perl script (runs like this... create-adusers.pl -u username) CREAT...

Default path

Started By  wilcoxmad
I'm a developer, not a sys admin. We are going from 8.1 to 9.0. We are also changing from a RS6000 to AIX. In our current environments when one executes a script it works with just the script name. In the new environment, one must enter the path name and script name. Is this fixable I seem to remember a way to set $LAWDIR/bin as part of a default path for all Lawson users but I don't know how. Any suggestions

From where is login.html called in LSF9?

Started By  ShawnV
We have just migrated from 8.0.3 to LSF9.  Due to our users having 2 login ID's (one for ESS/MSS & one for Portal), in 8.0.3 we had 2 different Portal Login screens: one for ESS/MSS (indexss.htm/logonss.htm) and one for Portal users(index.htm/logon.htm).  The Portal login screen was modified to 'append' a 'P' to the end of the userid during the login process.  Thus the users can enter their normal 'login' ID and don't have to remember to append a 'P' when they are logging into Portal. We are at...

Copying LDAP info from one server to another

Started By  prav
Hi all, We are on 9.0.0.4, iSeries and use LAUA security. We are trying to setup a Lawson Disaster Recovery box. We have been successfull with most of it but for replicating users added to LDAP using LSA. SInce we use LAUA all the security info is getting replicated along with the database to the DR Server. When I add a user to LSA on production, I can not add it to the LSA on DR server as LDAP is not running there. Is there a way to export data from LDAP on production and import into LDAP...

portal authentication issues

Started By  klive
ok, I have searched and searched and found nothing.  I need your expertise.  Back in January we did a mass load of roughly 600 users.  We did this based on a script that added common facts about each user, 'ldusers.pl' (i.e. first, last name, userid, productline, roles...) but we are now having problems with those users as well as some older users not being able to login to the portal.  To test I enter the username and a fake password in the portal credentials and both blank out.  But if  I ente...

Move Production Database Engine to Dedicated DB Server

Started By  Tom Whalen
background:  AIX 5.3, Oracle 10gR2 (10.2.0.4), LSF9 (9.0.0.4) What we need to do is to move our Lawson application server's Oracle services from it's current location to a new dedicated server called LAWDB.  I've already created the server, installed Oracle, created the lawson production tablespaces, migrated a copy of the Oracle data from the production system to the new LAWDB tablespaces, (DATA, INDEX, GEN, LOGAN) for both production and a test set of tablespaces.  My question is I know that...

How to view TAEEMASTER table from SQL database in Lawson

Started By  wintergreen
We are implementing absence management project. User will have an ODBC connection to SQL in Microsoft Access and  link to the TAEEMASTER table from SQL. However, the table is NULL, when I open the table directly from SQL server, it is NULL.  But, if I query this table using Microsoft Add-In, data was imported to Excel. I don't know how it was stored in SQL, and how to pull out the data if we use the ODBC connection to this TAEEMASTER table
