Lawson to AD

Started By  Kate Liamero
We are about to go live on Unix 9.0 with LS Security, Adam Bound, Websphere, Portal , LBI, RSS etc . Our windows group has just informed us that they are about to retire our current active directory server due to an upgrade for a company wide email project. I need to know what and where we have to change Lawson to point to the new server to authenticate users. We must get this done and tested this before we go live on or about 8/11 - 8/18 Thanks Kate Liamero PS Hope eve...

I'm installing (or actually reinstalling) bouncy castle for a 9.0 env on windows platform. When I run the regression tests, the crypto.out file is: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/bouncycastle/crypto/test/RegressionTest Exception in thread 'main' The command I'm using is: C:\JDK5\bin>JAVA_HOME/bin/java -cp bctest-jdk15-138.jar org.bouncycastle.crypto.test.RegressionTest > crypto.out 2>&1 Ok, I have not changed any Java or Bouncy Castle settings. I am running Java 1.5._38.JAVA_HOMEis s...

CTP Analysis

Started By  Tammy
I need to identify within the Lawson notes on a CTP what tasks/pts we already have in production and what tasks/pts will actually be changed in production on install of this CTP. I was hoping I could download the notes into a CSV file and create a database against which I could perform future searches for this purpose.  I haven't found a nice way to download the Lawson CTP notes in any kind of a friendly way.  Any suggestions Does anyone out there have a process for this already  I am lookin...

Websphere Heap Sizes And Shared Memory Segments, SSO smoke tests won't run

Started By  mrvitas
When installing WAS on HP-UX server, Lawson recommended initial and max heap sizes of 512/1024 produced error messages in ladb.log when WAS started - couldn't attach shared memory segment. SSO smoke tests failed. When initial and max heap sizes were left blank, no errors in ladb.log and SSO smoke tests completed OK. New HP-UX server and trying to leave heap sizes blank again, but shared memory segment errors appearing in ladb.log nonetheless. SSO smoke tests failing. Anyone see or find an IBM...

Enabling Windows Performance Monitor for LSF9

Started By  John Henley
Starting with Environment 8.0.3 ESP4, you can use the Windows Performance Monitor to analyze performance of the various Lawson processes. The steps for enabling this feature are not well-documented, and even if you can find the steps, they won’t work if you’ve installed LSF9 on a fresh server. Here’s how to get it working. Read Enabling Windows Performance Monitor for LSF9.

ldapbind reverts to old bind

Started By  wbrennan3
We recently changed our AD authentication and did an 'ldapbind' to make this work on our disaster recovery server. Lawson is recycled every night for Oracle and TDS refreshes. When we come in the next day, LDAP has reverted back to the old authentication. Is there a config file that needs to be modified It must be getting the old ldap bind from somewhere.

LAUA user listing is empty

Started By  John Costa
Environment 8.0.3, ESP 7 Apps 8.1.0, MSP 6 Windows Server 2003 - Enterprise Edition All of a sudden, my user list in LAUA is empty.  All I get is an error message at the bottom saying 'String Not Found'.  However, if I add the '-a' switch to the end of the LAUA command, my user list populates normally.  I've already cleaned out old users with the 'delusers' command and generated a refreshed user listing using 'listusermap - d' followed by 'listusermap -n'.  This had no effect as my user lis...

writeattach.exe and getattach.exe

Started By  itsjustme
We have just upgraded from LSF 9.0.0.3 to 9.0.0.5 and are getting an error on the writeattach and getattach executables when trying to add or view a comment entered on PO20, PO23 and AP12 screens. Seems to work fine on RQ screens and HR screens. Lawson has been unable to identify a fix for the issue. Since ESP 5 has been released for quite some time (since May I believe) there should be other users who have encountered this issue. Just looking for confirmation or if someone has a workaround fo...

htaccess file for external application?

Started By  Mike Schlenk
on LSF9, AIX, Oracle. I've created a set of frames that present ESS without the use of portal.  It only calls the htm and js files.  This way we can provide ESS to employees from home without the need for portal (long story). With 9, I'm trying to authenticate the entire 'sub site' to the LSF9 security.  My thought over the weekend was to use an .htaccess file to point the security at the Tivoli LDAP.  Has anyone done this  The syntax is a little confusing.

Hi All I wonder if you any could help me on resolving this issue. I am configuring bouncy castle for websphere 6.1.- I did followed the steps provided in the bouncy castle configration documentation. crazy lawsec_inst.ldif for Lawson Core install

Started By  mrvitas
Hi - I'm re-installing LSF9 on HP-UX 11.23 PA-RISC. I get halfway through the Core install when I'm prompted to load the lawsec_inst.ldif to my ADAM LDAP. The only problem is, it's crazy looking! Instead of a header reading object classes and attributes for RM metadata, it says 'the delivered Security static functions' and lists a lot of strange DNs like isLeapYear and year0. Nothing like lwsnrmbootclassname. In fact, no lwsnrmboot references at all! Has anyone seen anything like this befor...

Lawson slow to display portal login screen

Started By  Joe O'Toole
We are having serious latency issues with Lawson displaying the Portal login screen for some of our lower bandwidth Self Service users. In some cases almost 2 minutes before they can enter their credentials. Once in the application the response time is acceptable. I've cleared the IE cache on the client end which speeds things up a bit, but they're still seeing 'portal is initializing' in the status bar for a long time. Higher bandwidth users fly right through this and barely see the message. Do...
