I am trying to 'capture' a user's userid when they log into Portal in LSF9.  Is there a server variable or session variable that this value is stored Joe

Is there a way to change the report sizes for the pdfs (behind the scenes)  Using the Lawson assigned printers, users often use Portrait Compressed.  We were hoping to stop using Lawson assigned printers,  but I do not see an equivalent size for the PDFs ; and, no,  the users do not want to have the reports in landscape.

SQL 2005, windows 2003, ENV 9.0.0.3, laua I just created a new security class in laua, not when the user logs in - drill around does not work....any ideas when i switch back to old class, drill around works fine. All settings are basically the same...wierd.

We are in the process of moving to Apps. 9 and in that process moving our LID users to Portal.  We are still on LAUA security and will not be turning on CheckLS = yes within Lawson Security for a while yet.  Is there a file I could adjust that would deny users access to all application forms via lapm in LID  Essentially, I want to mimic what Lawson Security does.

We will be upgrading to LSF 9 soon and rec'd the Portal 9 book, but was curious to know if anyone has created a cheat sheet of just those items that have changed between the two versions. From my quick glance it just looks look & feel changes which the users would be able to overcome very quickly.

We are having trouble with Form Help in HR11 in Portal.  Form Help works in other applications but HR11.  We did go through LID and that worked, however using Form Help in HR11 does not work at all.   Any ideas.  This has stumped Lawson Support also.

In our 8.0.3 world we had a setting in the user role xml files to hide the left hand portal menu for most users and not for others. in moving to 9.0 we have not found how we can accomplish this without touching everyones individual xml files has anyone done something like this. We display LBI/Frameworkservices to all employees within portal but only HR users need to see the portal menu. I hope that makes sense>

All: We are upgrading from 803 apps to 901 and from 9004 to 901 environment. Finding that the Role Manager tool from within Portal only has the Home and Migrate buttons available. The other ones are greyed out. I click on Migrate, and it goes through and tells me a couple of the roles didn't migrate. But the ones that did, shouldn't I then be able to select them I've run IOSCacheRefreshes, etc, made sure that I am set to a Portal Administrator in LSA, etc. What am I missing here...

I would like to add a link on the log out page that users can click to return them to the lawson portal log in screen. Can anyone point me to the location of the file that I would need to edit to add this link Thanks!

Since going to LSF9, my users have been experiencing random errors in Portal.  They will be doing anything from submitting a batch job to a simple inquire and Portal appears to freeze up.  After several minutes, they are presented with a dialog box indicating the following error: Status 400: The request could not be processed by the server due to invalid syntax. Does anyone know the syntax for a url link to a design studio portal page  I know how to build a url for a design studio form (i.e.  https://server/lawson/portal/index....Z&_TKN=...) - but can't figure out how to link directly to a page that is not built from a form.

The Employee Self Service 'Pay' tab is displaying the characters 'N.aN' in place of the employees Gross and Net Pay amounts... Is somehow  related to the user security class as I can change the User Sec Class to something else and they can view fine. Does anyone know what item in the security class must be changed to be able to see the $ amounts... I have tried to compare the classes, but cannot determine the needed element. Please help!!

The select drop-down list in 9.0 ESS stays open after you click on an option. Is anyone else experiencing this problem Lawson says they are not able to reproduce the error. This tends to happen on select lists that are relatively long. An example is the State select on the home address page (Employee Self Service | Life Events | Move).

We are using portal 3.1.4.  Until this weekend, I believe no one has put in batch report parameters.  We tested some changes, and it worked until we went to production.  The LID versions work.  The test environment works.  In production, inquiry, next, previous, and delete work; however, add, change, and validate do not for every batch program tried.  The response is immediate.  The message is 'Request timed out.  No additional details to provide' followed by 'Error retrieving form data:  error ...

We are upgrading to LSF9 and I am having issues with the dipslay execs.  I've decided not to use the .htm's that were created for 8.0.3.  I've tried to recreate Lawson's portal xml solution and cannot get the page to display the required data.  I created a portal page dme query and got it to display the data needed when I hard code the workunit.  I need to know what the correct syntax is to pass the work unit to the dme when the page is loaded. Anyone ever encountered this error. Portal just stopped working. rebooted lawson server and Websphere - but we had to finally reboot the portal server to get back up and running. Just wondering what caused it. Message below: error number :28 out of stack space file: portal.js

I have a user that wants LID so  they can get to the lawson main menu. (limn or lamn) anyway I want to be able to give this functionality in portal instead. If I do a search on the flows (APFL) I can get these but I need to get the main menu.  Does anyone know how I can do this TIA Kate

Does anyone know how to Stop List Mode in Portal by  All Lawson forms (both delivered and custom) when accessing them through the search box in Portal, the first screen comes up with the List Mode (e.g. you have to select the company first in a list of companies). We can stop the list mode manually on each form by clicking on the 'Stop List Mode' button. But we don't want List Mode at all for any form, by default. We were on lsf9 and upgraded to Apps 9 two weeks ago.  All of our LBI users are unable to drill on back office reports such as GL291 and AP275.  When they drill on GL291 and AP275 they get the security message 'Lawson Users are not supported in IDA.exe'.  Has anyone ever seen this error message before joanna.bledsoejhsmh.org

Is there any way to hard-code the screen dimensions for the main Portal page  I am trying to use Lawson Portal on a hand-held device (Intermec CN-50) running Windows Mobile 6.1.  Although I can log in to Lawson alright, the Portal page is so large that I have to scroll all over the place in order to see the fields.
