We have about 15 users who are not able to see their templates in RSS on their PC. We have remoted into the PC and with Admin rights get the same results. If the users sign into another PC, they see the templates.

It seems like looking for a needle in a haystack to find the differences between the PC's that could be causing the issue. Has anyone run into this issue or have some suggestions as to where we should be looking. So far we are looking at XML parsers, IE version and java versions.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If it is PC-specific (i.e. it happens regardless of user from a given machine) then it's related to their browser cookies. If it's user-related (different user works from that same machine), then it's probably the RSS temp files on the server.
Thanks for using the LawsonGuru.com forums!

We had the same issue on random workstations at go-live on 9.0.1 and had to apply the following patches:

Install MSXML 4.0 Service Pack 2 (Microsoft XML Core Services)http://www.microsoft.com/...da-b4b6-c5d7485f2b42

Hotfix for MSXML 4.0 Service Pack 2 - KB832414 Microsoft XML Parser

Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer (927978)

Some or all of these patches appear to be for IE6 or related to it.  We upgraded all of our users (I work with Mark Cook) to IE7 less than a month ago.  Would any of these still be applicable?  Maybe there are IE7 equivalents?  We are running XP ServicePack2 on nearly all computers, with IE7.

Our corporate standard is IE6.  We have a few outliers on IE7, but I'm not aware whether any of them had this same issue.   There may be IE7 equivalents with these patches, the description of your issue is identical to what we went through.

We have not been able to nail this down to one patch or group of patches. We have PC's with more hot fixes from MS, less than the current standard seed here. The only effective solution we have found so far is to reimage the PC to the standard seed. I guess we have been lucky in the fact it has been only about 22 PC's out of a couple thousand out there. Bad part is that this process is time consuming (2-4 hours per PC).
