Parameter Update Programs

    What is parameter Update Programs (related to Batch processing) in Lawson ERP?.Can anyone brief me on this topic..?

      Can you be more specific about where you're seeing "Parameter Update Programs"? There are some programs available that allow the user to update setup parameters via batch program. Examples would be GL121, AP110, IC330. There are many, many more.

        Are you referring to the Lawson APIs that let you create/submit jobs, and let you alter the parameters associated with those jobs (i.e. 900-LOAD-JOB)?

          Thanx Bill and John for Your replies.
          Yes....I am referring to the Batch programs as Bill mentioned.I can understand from Bill's reply that Parameter's of a< Batch >program can be Updated using these Update programs.
          Bill..Using the Programs GL121,AP110...etc can we Update the Parameters setup of any program(I want to know whether it is applicable to Online pgms only..?)

            When you add or change a batch job, you are effectively changing the parameters you have used to setup the job.
            It sounds like you are in need of some Lawson "basic training". I would suggest that you talk to your management about working with Lawson or one of its partners about getting some training so that you can have a better understanding about how Lawson works.

Generally Yes, batch update programs are for( certain) online programs. There may not be a batch program avaialble for every online program, and I don't know of any batch programs that are for Logan modules. The most robust batch programs are in the core applications where setup maintenance is routine, AP, GL, IC, HR, PR.
