I'm doing some testing in a test environment, and I've got a new TIme Record file I'd like to load in the PR530 to run a new payroll.

However there is an 'old' payroll run that hasn't completed because of various reasons.

How can I 'blow away' this old payroll run, so that I can start fresh with the new time record file? Do I really need a whole new data copy from another productline? Or is there some other method I can use?

    THanks in advance,
    Roger

    P.S. THis is 8.0.3 apps MSP10.

Hi Roger - how far along is the "old" payroll in a cycle? Depending on how far along you are, you could either have someone close the cycle with the minimal steps required (all you need to do is run a PR140, PR160 and PR197 unless you have something custom that must be run) and then just move on if that PR won't impact whatever time records you're testing. If you've gotten as far as the 140 or some point before the close, you can "reset the cycle" by using the delete function on the PR00 page. You'll get a message saying the 140 will need to be rerun for all process levels). Then, you could blow away any time records on the TIMERECORD table and then use your PR530. If you haven't made it to the 140, you could blow away your time recs and start fresh.

        Roger,

We have used PR45 1st put the records in Error and then delete. We usally do this by Process Level.

Sally brings up a good point. Since absence management records are also created when time records are created, if your testing includes LP, and you just blow away TIMERECORD, you will have orphan records in LP. PR45 would clear the LP records in addition to the LP records.

i delete the cycles in PR00/LP00, then via MS Addins query and delete the timerecords- key field is timerecord.time_seq to change/delete timerecords.
