The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has approved the revised EEO-4 Form that state and local governments need to complete to allow respondents to select more than one race and ethnicity. State and local governments will receive the new EEO-4 Form in mid-July when the survey opens. This will impact the EEO-4 Lawson report (PA391). Due to the OMB's late approval of the revised form, we can use the current form to report 2015 data, but the EEOC recommends that public sector employers update their computer systems after receiving the survey in mid-July and then re-survey their workforce using the revised EEO-4 report for the next reporting cycle that occurs in 2017. With this being said, there is a need to revise the EEO-4 report to allow the selection of more than one race/ethnicity. Also need information on how or if this will impact the ethnicity codes in HR91 or any of the PA tables.
For state and local government, if there is an interest in complying to the new EEO-4 reporting standards, please login to www.inforcommunities.com, refer to Enhancement Request ID 32323, and express interest.
