We are right in the middle of going from 8.0.3 to 9.0.1 - and there is a ton of testing and other work yet to be done. BSI has now come out with 8.0.o, for the Arizona tax law changes, and the corresponding CTP from Lawson is HUGE. I can't imagine how we'll manage to get this CTP in by the 8/15 date - that is also around go-live date.
Is anyone else NOT upgrading their BSI app to the new version and skipping that CTP, for now?

Understanding how swamped you are, I would still reconsider including the BSI update with the rest of your testing. The last time AZ made a tax change happened to be the same situation - it required an update to the BSI version, too. Inadvertently, we did not update BSI (poor communication here - one hand didn't know what the other was doing) - NO AZ tax was withheld from any of our employees. It's a shame that all of this has come down so late in the game - believe me, I feel your pain. Good luck

Anyone know if the CTP is required if you are not dealing with AZ taxes? We had planned on bringing Tax Factory up to 8.0 o to stay compliant but did not plan on doing the CTP.

I did a case with Lawson, indicating that we do not have Arizona employees, and the support contact indicated the CTP was not required. I am thinking we will go ahead in our dev environment and apply the CTP and the BSI changes at the same time just so we do not run into issues.

We don't have any Arizona employees so it is good to know we don't have to install the patch. We are however planning a test cycle in the next two weeks to put this in.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think this was the CTP that updated the index in PRCHECK (PCHSET6).

I'm not thrilled at having to do a BSI upgrade (it rarely goes smoothly for us) but I am majorly relieved to hear that we probably do not have to apply the CTP. That is great news. I am double-chcking that with Lawson now. Thanks. :)
