Confirm understanding of the PR82 intent. It is my understanding that PR82 is used to adjust records behind the scenes, for W2's and finance and that these adjustments do not impact the employee's pay check. Questions:
    1. Am I correct in my understanding?
    2. When pulling deductions for a regular payroll, do you include check type "J" so the adjustment is included? I would think no because the intent of the PR82 is not to impact the employees pay check or deduction amount.
    3. Processing PR82's and the date used-
    a. in the same year same quarter- do you use the current date or the date in which you are processing the PR82- if doing on an off cycle, that date?
    b. in the same year different quarter? any day in the quarter where the original transaction took place?

Any information about the importance of dates would be appreciated.

I use PR82 to correct any transactions that have negative or zero net pay. Otherwise it will be a manual check to the employee. I use the original transaction date in PR82 whether it is to correct prior or current quarter.
