We have a vendor requesting that we provide term dates in our BN106 HIPAA834 files.
We create our files using the 'Validate' option. It is our understanding that, for lack of a better term, these are "full" files, including all employees/dependents who have coverage under the chosen plan type and plan(s) selected.
This being said, isn't it true that those employee (or dependents) who have not elected coverage, or who have dropped their respective coverage from any of these plans would not be included in the file? And as such, isn't it also true that there would never be a "term" date for these records and that they would simply be "dropped" from any files created subsequent to the benefit end date?
