I know we can gather data on "standardized" payroll deductions for United Way gifts that are deducted from payroll, either via PR14 or PR39. However, we are wondering how other organizations handle (and track) those one-time gifts that are not deducted from payroll. We have numerous employees who prefer to do a one-time gift either by cash or check, rather than have their gift collected via payroll deduction. Therefore, tracking of these contributions is presently done manually via an Excel spreadsheet.

Since all of the other related information already resides  within Lawson/Infor, we'd like to incorporate this one piece that resides outside of Lawson/Infor in to the fold too. So we wondered how organizations track these gifts.

Is there a screen or form that we are unaware of that can be used to track this one-time giving, even though it is not technically considered a payroll contribution since it is actually a cash/check transaction?

Or, are there any user fields that we could use within the PR suite like there are within the HR suite? (And if that is the "best" avenue, how can we maintain and track any prior year's one-time gifts in order to incorporate them into that employee's deduction/giving history?)

Thank you for any feedback and insight into how other organizations maintain this process!
