Wellness Plan Credits

    Trying to setup a wellness plan where employee's receive a pre-tax wellness credit that will be subtracted from their total pre-tax health premium cost if they participated in the plan (we would get a list from the provider and I'm guessing mass load participants to UDEF in order to track and create groups).  I'm not seeing much information about setting up a wellness plan with credits.  I am trying to test lifestyle credit option (HR11) but, this seems to have limitations.  Does anyone else offer this type of plan and how did you set this up?

      Allison,

      We have a similar plan. If the employee enrolls in the wellness program, they get a credit towards their medical premium. We use the lifestyle field to identify those that are enrolled. (if enrolled it is a "1", otherwise blank or "0") Then for each of our medical plans we have employee groups set up to reflect the contribution rates for those enrolled and those not enrolled. For example, we have 4 groups set up - 1. Full time w Wellness, 2. Full time w/o Wellness, 3. Part time w Wellness, 4. Part time w/o wellness. We update the Lifestyles Credit field yearly as we require employees to re-enroll every year.
