Hello, is there a Lawson screen to view what records are out there in the EMPserv file/table

We use processflow for requisition approval. We need a way for approvers (i.e. users) to add a proxy approver while they are out of office, without giving the users access to LOGAN tables used in ProcessFlow Admin Tools. We do not want the users to have direct access to ProcessFlow Admin Tools, and we do not want our IT dept. handling proxy approver updates in ProcessFlow Admin Tools. Have an inbasket form PO20.1 Need a little assistance in identifying the correct field setup to get it to prepopulate the form when the link is selected. Have the link working correctly but form comes up without the PO displayed. Have keys defined in trigger but I think the form variable def is wrong. I am writing a process flow that needs to add a back slash character to a record it is writing out (the end of the record type 7 on an ACH tape Child Support Addenda record). Every time I try to assign the back slash character to a variable my process flow client closes ('crashes').  Any thoughts on how I can add this character to my output record

I am building a process flow that  will require DateDiff to determine an employee's length of service. I have 2 variables, AdjSvcDate and Today that have Date specified for the type and  the default is today(). My process flow will create a new job and submit it with no problems - but I would like to have the report output distributed; usually that is done in jobdef after the job is created. Is there a way to update this information through a syscmd or some other method via PF TIA, Karen

I'm using a query in the SQL Query node and the query references a column called UNION. Well, UNION is a keyword in Oracle (no, I didn't create the table, it's Lawson table) so I have to put double quotes around the name for a valid query. The query works fine but the problem is trying to access the 'UNION' variable in the query (jobGradeQuery_'UNION'). The Assign node does not like those double quotes. We are using ProcessFlow with an 8.0 environment, meaning all of our emails are plain text.  To assist with formatting so we can make the emails look a little better, I'm trying to get a 'Double' variable formatted to display 2 decimal places.  This is easy to do using the round(var,2) function, but if the variable is an integer it won't display the .00.  So we'll see '16' instead of '16.00', but if the variable is 16.49 that will display correctly. Has anyone been able to to capture emails using Processflow.  We currently use the mobile approval solution and for the most part it works great.  Our problem is that individuals using personal devices can't access our system.  I was thinking it would be great if I could provided the inbasket options in the email which would sent it back to a specific mailbox and than Processflow could act on the email.  Just figure out if that is possible. Hi, We are on Lawson version 9.0.0. We are working on migrating our system to a new location and upgrading to 9.0.1. In our new box we can not run PF on the server through a PF Designer. The PF run fine in the desktop but we are getting this error when trying to run on the server Unable to connect to the ProcessFlow server Error in connnecting to /xx.x.x.xxx at port 16052 Our host company can not figure it out why. Does anyone know how to determine the exact date of the upcoming Friday in ProcessFlow  I have a flow that needs to run multiple times during a week.  Upon each run, it the flow needs to determine the date for the upcoming Friday and then set that as a job parameter. I was hoping to use something similar to Date.today().next(),friday(), but processFlow does not seem to like that.  I presume this is because date.js is not on my server and if it were, Lawson doesn't know anything about it. ...

We only have process flow professional 9.0.1.5 and i have done the designer, admin console scheduler etc on a couple of PC's with no problem.  I know there is simetimes issues with classpath and law java home but i have had none of these issues except on one latpop and it is driving me crazy.  Wehn we do the PF install it never prompts to install the java virtual machine.  The admin and event magmt console all run with no problems but we cannot get the designer to start.  Error we are getting is...

Could not connect to SMTP host: example.smtp.com, port: 25; java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused We do not have an issue with the SMTP Mail Server. However, for some reason, glitches do happen. So far twice this year and none before that. I can't find a way to catch this error inside a processflow. It is in the wuerr log file. I can check if the wuerr file exists but I need to be more specifc, which is, does it contains 'Could not connect to SMTP host'. Appreciate your advice....

What is the best way to parse lines in Requisitions and change them Lets say I have 25 lines with different Item types and I want to individually check these and then apply updates to them. Problem I have is RQ10 has limitations on lines and the page up and page down messages, SQL or direct field value updates cant work on the field that I am changing. The Logic in RQ10 needs to execute to validate and change correctly. How do I do this in PFlow

I'm looking at electronic forms routing for many administrative tasks.  Ideally, I want to be able to present the forms inside of ESS.  I also need the tools to be able to query lawson and send data in to lawson using the lawson dme and ags.  Does anyone do this or know of a vendor that does  We know FormFast but they haven't done a lot of Lawson

I am process flow impaired and need some help.  Our current req approval flow needs to have an additional approver level if the rec location = 0412 or 0729.  This has to occur between the current approver 2 and approver 3.  I have a branch but it is not working. This list of locations that will need the addtional approver level will grow so I dont know if this would even be the best way to accomplish this anyway. I am upgrading from PFP (ProcessFlow professional) to PFI and the Lawson provided documentation doesn't mention information on any needed conversions for the current flows used in PFP.  It only mentions adding newer components Designer, PFI enabler, PFI connector, Transformation Extender, MQ (optional).  I would appreciate any information from others that have traveled this path and have words of advice or gotcha for me to watch out for.   Looking to create a task list to follow for the proces...

I am a novice in process flow and just trying to enter the arena and starting to get my hands dirty. I am trying to add a processflow to trigger whenever a change is made to an accounting unit on GL20. I looked on the delivered flow triggers from lawson and have not found one on this. Any ideas on where to start. Lawson does not store any changes made to the accounting unit with any kind of date field. How can I write a pf trigger for this Thanks in advance.

We are testing a work flow in our new enviornment and received an error. We got the error when the flow is attempting to send an email to a task defined in Process flow. Anyone ever done a transaction to initiate a 'Move From Level' type of PA52.5 transaction I can't seem to get past the 'Must execute the Move from Level special action' soft error no matter what values I use in XMIT-HREMP-BLOCK (as well as some of the other XMIT values. I need to be able to automate the switch of the primary and an alternate position - but just can't get by this error. Anyone done this

Since the move to 9.0, maintenance of User Task Category Definitions has been a major PITA.  One of our facility presidents just went on vacation for 2 weeks and asked that his approval tasks be transfered to the CFO.  Which means I had to manually add 165 category values (req locations) to the CFO and in 2 weeks I'll have to delete them.  Using Addins in 8.0.3 loading to WF12 was a breeze but we can't with the new PF Admin tool.  Doe anybody have any suggestions
