If you're getting one of those annoying DME connection error with user lawson messages when running your flow on the server but it works just fine within PF Designer then I have a possible solution for you (I just discovered this for a client). If the DME has a SELECT statement with an Escape character (3D for the = character) then replace it with the normal character. Replace SELECT=STATUS3D1 with SELECT=STATUS=1 When I did this my DME call worked on the server.

Hello, I am looking for information on how to reference the individual xml data elements retuned from a web service call using the PFI Web Service node. i.e. how can I assign the xml data element to my internal variable in an Assign Node. Hello, We are receiving the below error message from flows. This doesn't occur for all flows so it is making it very difficult to trouble shoot. Any ideas what could be causing the problem, or a method to determine the problem. I have checked the security logs, ios.log, and SystemOut.log. I am using the delivered trigger for EMSS to generate an email but what I need to do also is make sure the address is capitalized, it's an HR thing, it seems though that the update to the address field has already taken place when the trigger kicks off the flow. I know I can capitalize the address with Jscript but I don't know how to do it with the delivered flow We are using PFI and are new to using the flows. Any help is appreciated. I have a command that i want to execute from SysCommand (windows server) hat references a unc path with spaces in it. I cant just surround the path with quotes because the syscommand executes this: su -p ***** domain\USER -c 'cmd.exe /C xxx' where xxx is my command ive tried all different methods but cant seem to make it work. We had an issue with a workflow table (WFACTVAR) that had grown very large and took hours to reorg. As a short cut, the dba issued a sql command that deleted everyting in that file. Now I have workunits in other tables (i.e. WFACTIVITY) and processflow doesn't know they exist. I would like to clean up the orphan records and put in the move/purge history script provided by Lawson. We only have about a half dozen processflows but more are on the way and I would like to get this under control. ...

I am trying to add new users in a flow using the Resource Update node. It keeps failing with the return message of 'Unable to store USERNAME object, creation failed. Original Exception: Could not create object of type People'. I'm not sure what the problem is. I can add users using the security administrators piece without any issues.

I have a custom flow in 9.0.0.7 that uses three webruns. All the webrun’s are using bpm/xml/workUnitBForm.do to update 1- startDate & startTime, 2- returnID 3- closeDate & closeTime. The strange thing is, after step 1 has committed a start date and time (and other fields as well); steps 2 and 3 lose the startDate & Time values. I have a date variable in ccyymmdd format which I need to add 7 days to, BUT I need the output back in ccyymmdd. When I use the addday(var1,numdays) in the designer I get the right future date back but its in a long format that I cant reconvert for use in an AGS call.
