HR11 security

What you are trying to do? To see the data in HR11?

Are you on LAUA security or LS?

We are going to implement LS and I'm testing the HRClerk role on the testing server. Even I granted the role all access on HR11 but most of fields are blocked. So, I went back to the LAUA and granted the account with all access but I still can't see most of fields. I just took over this position for 5 months. Any idea? Thank you!

It sounds like you are seeing HR09 data item security.

That is right. After I added the account to the HR09 to certain level, it works. Thanks a lot!!

HR09 is for data item security and HR12 is for record security. But it seems to me HR12 didn't take effect... or somewhere overide the HR12?

I maybe wrong... but here is the explaination:

When you define level and location in HR11, HR12, it puts a requirement parameter on that ONE employee record.

Here is the scenario:
User 123 accesses HR11
User 123 has security level 5 defined in HR09
User 123 accesses HR11 to inquire Employee XYZ with level 9 and location 9999999999 (access granted)
User 123 accesses HR11 to inquire Employee ABC with level 1 and location 9999999999 (access denied)

HR09 defines user security level and HR11 defines record security level. If user security level is smaller than record security level. Then the user will be able to inquire on that record.

I have some questions:

(1) Does HR09 only affects on HR11 form? or other forms too?

(2) What about the secuity setting in LAUA and LS? I can do the same security setting on LS, right? Which will be overrided? HR security setting or LS security setting?

(3) Which form that HR block the fields?

I'm not HR staff, I wonder how they setup the security and I need to implement LS security.
