Please excuse my ignorance as I am new to Lawson and self-taught.
I am the security admin for our ERP system. I have been asked to give access to a job that has been created through jobdef. My understanding is, to give access of others you would need to copy this job to these users or give them access to the password of the current user.
Is there also a way to give them access through USERGRPDEF?
Are there other security concerns when dealing with jobs created in jobdef? I am assuming I also need to allow them access to the objects being used in the job through the Lawson Security Administrator.

To give access to allow users to SUBMIT and RUN a previously defined job (in jobdef for example), you give them access through laua (if you're using laua security). If you're using LSF9 security then you give them access to it using the Security Admin tool (through roles).
To allow a user to see the print files of jobs which other users have submitted, you have to make sure the the sender and receiver are in the same job distribution group, and User Group, through laua or Security Admin tool.
You can, in jobdef, also send the printout of a job directly to whatever group you need to send it to.
Lastly, there is no need to give anyone another user's password to see/run jobs!
There are some systems manuals available on mylawson.com that I would recommend reading on how the groups works and the security of jobs.

I am using LSF9, but I am unsure of how to give access to the job created in jobdef.
In jobdef the job was created and forms were associated but I don't see any of these objects in the Lawson Security Administrator.
I want to two users the ability to run this job.

When adding new jobs that will require LSF9 security access, the new job must also be defined within the data source that you use to build your security. Once it is defined within security data source; the program and its form(s) will be addressable by the security administrator software.
