Has anyone ever bought an inventory item with one unit of measure and been able to order it through RQC with another?  For example issue a PO for an inventoried item ordering 12 cases of something and then have an end user order that same item by "each" using RQC.  I am not sure if that is even possible in Lawson.  Any insight is greatly appreciated.

How is the item set up in IC12? Usually there is a conversion between the stock UOM and the purchase UOM. Many of our items are set up with a purchase UOM of case and a stock uom of each.

We are the same - EA always = 1 = stock UOM or secondary buy UOM with CA being the primary UOM. And I think JimY meant to direct you to IC11 but I could be mistaken.

You are correct. Sorry about the mixup.

Yes - we do for some Central Supply vs OR items.
For example issue a PO for an inventoried item ordering 12 cases of something and then have an end user order that same item by "each" using RQC.

            ITEM Stock UOM: EA
            IC11 UOM tab: EA = 1 - Buy flag = 1. CA = 12 - Buy Flag = 2
IC12 Inventory Location: Reorder Tab: Default Source UOM = CA
PO25.6 = UOM EA with EA cost
PO13 - no UOM information added.

In RQC from end user location - express order and search catalog should default to EA. From RQ10 for the inventory location, entering Lawson number and qty 1 with no UOM should default to CA with cost multiplied accordingly.

Most of our inventory UOM setups where we buy by the CA and issue by the LUOM are as follows.  In this example, PO replenishement is by the CA and the end user orders by the RM in RQC/RQ10.

              IC11

              IC12

              PO25.6
