How to launch RQ10 from a Portal page button

I seem to recall that the RQ10 form is actually already available in the Inbasket. Click on the Folders link and it should be there. The problem you're going to have is that since the requisition is released that you can't update the values on RQ10 anyway.

If you unrelease the requisition in order to allow approvers to make changes then you will have to release it again and thus trigger ProcessFlow a second time.

I need to add that the portal page is the processflow "Inbasket" approval screen.  So, all requisitions are in "Released" status awaiting approval.  Has anyone had this requirement before where approvers want to change a requisition that has been released?  I'm not sure how to launch "customized" RQ10 from the approval screen?

Once the requisition is in a "Needs Approval State" it can not be altered without unreleasing. Even if it was possible which it is not it would invalidate the entire approval process. If people could change the information at will during the approval you would need to send it back to previous app rovers otherwise they could argue they never truly approved the end result.

When you say "Folders" link, do you mean on the "Body" tab under the Data Query properties, which is opened by clicking the "Custom" button for the data query?

Can I add a "customized" version of RQ10 on this "Folders" link?

Any ideas on how to "unrelease" the requisition so RQ10 changes can be made?
I was thinking of doing the "unrelease" in my processflow, and then launching RQ10 for the approvers to make changes, and they will manually release the requisition.

The Folder link is available when a user goes into the WorkUnit record, even without a Portal Page display being used. In theory for requisiton approvals, you don't need the Portal Page or HTML document to be deployed.

I had a client request the ability to update a requisition during the approval process. We never put it in place but what I started to experiment with was to include a value on one of the user fields to indicate that the requisition was in the approval process and when ProcessFlow was triggered again the flow would check for this value and the new WorkUnit would route to the end node.

What this did was to keep the original WorkUnit in place and to allow the system to continue with the approval steps as if nothing was updated. This is problematic, like Robert said, since the requisition had already been approved with the value and settings prior to the current approver making changes.

It can be done, however.

Can the RQ10 form, available from the FOLDERS link, be edited?
If so, where is the form located so a new custom version of it can replace it?

First to your folders question...no. Second there is no amount of design studio customization's that can be done to RQ10 to bypass this underlining business rule within the Cobol program. As long as the requisition is in any state other then unreleased you can not edit it. You would need to create paint screens and as a practice you should avoid paint screens as they do bypass ALL business rules. I also had the same type of request and as I explained to them once a requisition has been altered it is not the same requisition as approved prior to the unrelease and because it has been altered it should go through the approval from the being. Editing an approval requisition on the fly without allowing prior app rovers to review and approve would not pass an Audit review.
