Lawson Portal and Active Directory

    Has anyone had any problems with latency in Lawson who has Active Directory setup for their company?   I know that Lawson iSeries is not compatible with AD.  We have setup AD with our business and our iSeries applications seem to be responding slowly to request.

      Typically, latency can be corrected one of two ways. First, change your search base to the lowest level in the AD tree where your users are still below the base. Second, when you bind, don't bind to port 389, bind to your global catalog server. One or both of these are sure to improve your latency issue. Let me know how it works.
