We are looking for folks who have implemented LSO as a "LID replacement," who might be willing to share their experiences with us. I would particularly like to chat with someone who might be within a day-trip drive of Winston-Salem, NC (with a view towards us possibly making a visit to your site?). We have looked at all the canned demos our rep can throw at us, but we would really like to "see it live," and hear from another user their honest opinion of it.
Right now we are planning our move from laua security to LS9 security; and of course our LID users have learned that they'll have to give that up. We have approx. 1,000 Lawson financial users overall, with about 125 of them being LID users (these, though, tend to be our hard-core power users). We do have a lot of heads-down data entry work (which is one of the reasons we've hung on to LID this long); so we want to know if LSO really is a viable "LID replacement" for that type of work.
We have some other questions as well, as far as comparing LID with LSO (vs. Portal), but that one would be a good starting point.
In looking at what it would take to implement LSO, it seems to be no small task - it will require significant money, time and resources for us. Will it be worth it to us to make that investment? Will we get enough benefit out of LSO, as opposed to forcing all our users to just use Portal? We don't know enough, yet, about LSO to make that decision; so that's why we're hoping to add awareness by talking with other Lawson users.
