We are on an older version of Landmark/Rich Client.  Rich Client - Version: 10.0.4.9.11 2013-10-31

I am trying to set-up a file channel on a remote server using User/Private Key authentication.  I have a ticket open with Infor on how to use this option and they did provide a word document with set-up information.  However, it is confusing and doesn't appear to work with the version we are on.  And, I have asked several times for clarification and received no reply/help.

On the Overview tab in the section to set-up the authentication I have:

    Host

    Protocol - selecting SFTP

Authentication Type - User and Privatekey

    User

Privatekey Path - there is a box and then a browse button.  The browse button will take me out to Windows on my laptop.  Our landmark server is Unix.  No matter what I put in the path, I get an error: Field Privatekey Path is required

Passphrase - per the documentation, if I don't use one (which we don't) then it can be left blank

Has anyone set-up this authentication type on a file channel on a Unix server?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Karen

You need login to the Landmark server and use the RichClient on the Landmark server to be able to set/browse to the private key.

Also, if you want to be able to use the private key when testing flows from the designer, I *think* the private key also needs to be installed in the same location on your local PC as it is on the Landmark server. That way the flow can "find" it whether it's executing within the designer on your local machine or on the Landmark server.

        Kyle,
Please clarify what you mean to log into Rich client on the Landmark server. This is how we have been accessing rich client:

        When I go to http://server:50006/canvas/
I get a list of Applications accessible on host server:50005

When I click on (for example) Infor Rich Client Admin for devhcmpay, a jar file is downloaded from the server onto the desktop. And a short cut is created on the desktop to execute the jar
        "C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_111\bin\javaw.exe" -jar "lawlaunch.jar" -quick -2 -launch "devhcmpay\richclientAdmin.lawspec"
Which then opens the rich client login dialog box.

        Thanks,
        Karen

You need to login to the machine that Landmark is installed on and use the RichClient on that machine. Not the RichClient you launch with the shortcut on your local desktop.

            Kyle,
Can you tell me how to do that? Our Landmark server is Unix. I've pulled the Lawson documentation on Rich Client and it has you going through the desktop to log in.
            Thanks,
            Karen

Sorry, not sure how to do that on Unix. Our Landmark is on Windows.

Infor came back with the solution:
The private key needs to be loaded into the database using the browse button. The private key should be in the desktop system where you are launching the Rich Client from. Please copy the private key over to the desktop and then select it using browse button and then save the configuration.
