I have been asked to create an audit report using crystal reports and querying the process flow tables, that will show each po approval flow from beginning to end. Has anyone done this before? Are there any canned reports provided by lawson that can be leveraged?

Hi Giulia -
Most of this data resides in the WFMETRICS table within LOGAN and you can built a Design Studio form to display this information and then tie it to a bookmark in Portal.
I've also built custom PF Reporting Solutions specifically for Financial Audit reporting by building a custom table which is programmatically updated from a node within the PF. I exposed the data using a Custom Form, so users could just go there to see their stuff without running a report. The Custom Table also got around the LOGAN security access issue - as you generally do not want a lot of people with access to LOGAN etc.
This worked pretty nicely, since I could embed the Requisition Number, Requester into a URL to the custom form and put that URL into a Notification Email to the Requesters - so point and click - users could immediately go and find the status of their particular Requisition (without calling the Procurement dept :-)) in the approval process too.
Hope that helps.

In the pre lsf9 there used to be a screen form in logan that does what you want(WFMETRICS). I kept this old program (sorry can't remember) and then retrofiited it for lsf9. Today it is still being used a lot. While a lot of old screens are gone, the tables remains the same except for the RD30 functionality.

Thank you both for your feedback.
This report I am creating is to track PO Approvals. I have been working with the WFMetrics and WFWorkUnit tables and I get most of what I need. However, do you know if the PO Number is stored in any of the logan tables? I don't see it and the users want to be able to run the report by entering a PO number as a parameter. Or do you know if the work unit number is stored in any of the po tables?

Hi Giulia -
I don't believe PO Number resides there in WFMETRICS - take a look at your Service Variables in the BPM Menu Console. You can define those variables and I believe those will show up in WFMETRICS, if memory serves me correctly :-). You might also have to consider creating a custom reporting table and write PO Number to it from a node in a flow using one of the PFI adapters. SQL Node could be used for example. The solution I designed about 3 years ago is a bit more robust using a COBOL program to write to the custom table and a COBOL Form for the report - so like in your example, a user feeds a REQ (or PO) Number into the Form and gets a report result with all the approval steps for that REQ (or PO).
All the best,
Rob

You would have to go from the workunit tables to the REQLINE tables then to POLINESRC to get the PO number itself. Remember that 1) requisitions can be approved at the line level, and may result in multiple PO lines, etc. and 2) ProcessFlow doesn't have to be used to create a PO, so if you're looking at the big picture, you might be missing something. Depending on what your ultimate goal is, I have some Crystal reports that go from GL->AP->MA->PO->RQ, and vice versa, as well as some that report off the WFMETRICS tables related to the appropriate RQ/PO tables.
