I recently attended a webex for the apps Infor offers for mobile devices. I would like to get the Mobile Inbasket app set up for our users but I can't find any information on how to do this. The webex just stated that an "attribute on the user's security profile" needs changed before they can access it. I'm having trouble finding this attribute. Also, I'm assuming there is some other setup that needs done for the phone to access the website as far as firewalls etc. but this was not stated. Does anyone use the mobile app and can help me with this?

It is a new(er) RM attribute that needs to be added to the Lawson Security LDAP schema if it does not exist.
There is a section in the mobile inbasket ("mib") installation guide with steps/instructions on adding it.
As for the firewall access, mib is installed as a separate websphere app and bound to a virtual host.
Whatever host/port is associated with that virtual host would have to be accessible in order to access mib.

Hi, You'll need to create the attribute first. That process is defined in Resources and Security Admin Guide, Chapter 34 - Lawson Schema Editor.
Unless your Lawson Portal is open to the outside world, users would only be able to access the app while on your company Wifi, or while connected to VPN.
Side note: I thought there was not an app for Inbasket, that it was just using the URL on your mobile phone, but I may be wrong about that.

BTW, the "mobile inbasket" is a stripped-down web site version of the inbasket (i.e. it's still a web site).
There is also a (free) notifications "native app" available for devices (iPhone, iPad, etc. not sure about Win Phone or Android).
Both still require endpoint access into your network in order to work.

Thank you all for your reply. @ John - is the setup for the notifications app the same as the mib? I downloaded the app but it tells me i have to "turn on profile" to sign in.

In the mobile app you have to add a profile (i.e. the URL/port number of your Landmark Process Automation inbasket). You then turn it on (assuming you are using the iPhone app, it's just a toggle on/off) to have it connect to your Lawson server. If you can access your
Landmark Process Automation inbasket
from your mobile device's browser, you can use the notifications app. Otherwise, you might have to deal with external access (i.e. public internet), different http/https firewall ports and/or VPN.

BTW, are you running (Landmark) Process Automation, or (LSF) ProcessFlow?
The iPhone "notifications" app is for the Landmark Process Automation.
The mobile inbasket ("mib") is for LSF ProcessFlow.

OK, in that case you can use the mobile inbasket (mib), which is a lightweight/mobile-optimized HTML app.
You need to determine *how* your users would access the mobile inbasket from their mobile devices (i.e. are they inside the hospital with access to internal wifi vs. accessing from starbucks via VPN vs. walking down the street and using public internet, etc.) Once you have that determined, you will need to install mib in websphere and assign it to an app server and virtual host in websphere. The virtual host might be the same as the one you use for Lawson Portal or it might be different and require firewall port access changes, etc. You also need to implement the LDAP schema changes to add the MobileUser attributes. Those are documented in the mobile inbasket installation guide. I've done this at several clients and it's not really difficult to install/implement.
