I'm looking to see if anyone has upgraded to LSF 10 on an AIX (*nix) platform and what their experiences have been. What vendor was chosen for the upgrade? Any lessons learned you'd like to share? Thank you.

Go to this link. Join the 10.x Community. So far there are about 50 clients who have gone live. Every meeting there is an update on additional clients who have gone live or are in flight. Some great webinar recordings as well.

We went live on 10.0.4 on AIX in April. There were definitely a quite few bugs when I first installed last November, but I have to give credit to development for fixing them as fast as we found them. If you've done upgrades in the past, it's pretty similar, the SharePoint/Mingle piece is really the only thing somewhat complicated. We have on-site SharePoint experience, so managed to get through that with little issues. I had Avaap in my back pocket and only had to pull them in for a few hours when configuring STS authentication and had one of their web programmers figure out some javascript for us around some of our Design Studio forms. The list box control was changed to a different object, so all of our custom javascript code around that object had to be redone. Only a handful of application CTP's had to be applied prior to go-live, and only a handful have been applied since go-live. I recently upgraded our TEST environment to 10.0.5 and it seems to be more stable than 10.0.4 was when it first came out.
