We are planning to upgrade to
9.0.1.9 and then
to Lawson 10x. Does anybody know if LID will be available to the users? Our users use menu, buttons that call script so I need to know if it would be an issue. are there any alternatives?

First, I would highly suggest ESP12, due to changes in the core. ESP9, while technically supported, has issues when preparing to move to 10.x. LID is not available in 10, as the switch to Lawson Security (LS) is a prerequisite. As for custom form buttons, and the like, those should still work, as the backend hasn't changed significantly enough. They will need to be evaluated, and I'm sure you will need to retrofit some things, but the process of running a script, via a form button, should still work. Feel free to give me a call if you'd like some more info. Kwane 505-433-7744

Clarification (just in case someone is unaware): LID *for general purpose form access* is not available in 10.x. LID (as a tool) still exists, and is in use for a number of purposes, just not general purpose form access.
